Fantastic service from Stephen Oakley's for the sale of our house & purchase of a new property. They were supportive, kept in regular contact & proactive in getting the deals done, and all at a very competitive rate. Couldn't imagine using another agent!

Thanks to all the Team at Stephen Oakley who helped me to secure a sale on my property. David was great and with me every step of the way, even with the loss of one sale he picked it up again and got my house back on the market and secured another sale which completed relatively easily. I would thoroughly recommend using this local agency., very professional and friendly with a lot of local knowledge. I am looking forward to doing business again with them in the future when I come to purchase a house. In the meantime renting through Stephen Oakley has been a pleasure!

Possibly as someone thought it was too positive and must have been a fake review - it wasn't.Within the past 18 months we have used Stephen Oakley estate agents to buy and sell a property in Olney. Throughout the process of both transactions they have been exceptional. David Berry was the agent we used.What we were impressed by was the honesty, local knowledge, ease of communication and problem solving.Our recent sale hit a few snags (through no fault of anyone) but David gripped up the issues quickly and saved the sale from falling through.At all stages we David would keep us updated without us having to chase or hear excuses.We would only every use Stephen Oakley if buying or selling in the Olney area again. Very pleased with your service. David Berry has helped us every step of the way including reassurance when it was needed. He also became friends with our excitable dog.

The most appalling service by an incompetent, unhelpful and rude man. Ben has zero interpersonal skills, took a holding deposit without considering our move in date. Despite the place being empty and ‘available when references are completed’. In asking for basic things like a clean and some things fixed and for clarity over a moving in date he said ‘I’m in two minds to put this back on the market’. To say that to someone already who is already stressed because of moving, when they have done nothing wrong simply requesting the most basic reasonable things is nothing short of bullying. Avoid this agency like the plague. In the end we took his offer of giving us back the holding deposit not because we didn’t like the house or the landlord (she seemed very reasonable) but because there was no chance we were entering into a contract with such an incompetent and rude agent.

Avoid! Writing on behalf of my partner who is moving back to the area, she had viewed a cottage to rent and was very interested in taking the tenancy. She agreed to exceptionally pay 12 months up front and bring the tenancy forward to meet the requirements of the landlord. She then left 2 messages for Ben, awaiting a response to her request to take on the property. No response was forthcoming and she then discovered on line that a let had been agreed to someone else within 24 hrs. They have still not had the decency to come back to her to advise of the situation. This has proved very distressing. Very unprofessional. Is this how this company and the landlord treat all their customers?
