I didn't go to the Grange I went to their farm

This is Hampshire’s finest venue to host an event. Not only are you surrounded by incredible beauty and history the team at The Grange Hampshire make the experience superb.

We stayed three nights mid-September in the Clocktower. Just a perfect stop for four adults on a weather challenged visit. Fred is a very accommodating host. The Clocktower has a most well equipped kitchen, that’s important for me as a traveling cook. Bedrooms and baths are comfortable and clean. The Grange is a great homebase for exploring Hampshire. Good provisioning at nearby butchers and farmstands, particularly we enjoyed the West Lea Farm Shop in nearby New Alresford. We also had a chance to fish the famous Itchen for trout and greyling, not to be missed by any fly angler. I hope I get to return.

We held our wedding here on 29 July 2023. I can not think of a way in which the experience at the Grange could be improved.The whole team – Tara, Julia, Amanda and Becka - were extremely flexible and accommodating with our ideas, allowing us to craft a day which reflected who we were and how we wanted to celebrate, rather than having a ‘cookie cutter’ approach to weddings. Whenever there were problems, either on the day itself or beforehand, they would leap into action and offer to sort them. They also managed to make wedding planning actually fun (!), bringing their humour and excitement for our wedding to all our meetings.The Grange is a really special building but it would be easy for it to trade on its grandeur and unique visuals, and forget the human side of what sort of an event it is hosting. The fact that it comes with such a world-class weddings and events team made the experience of holding our big day there a joy.

What an amazing place to stay at with my family of 14 for the weekend of my daughter’s wedding! From playing Sardines the night before the wedding in the many wonderful hiding places of such a large, rambling house, to sleeping in the four poster bed in the master bedroom with all the space you needed to hang her wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, to getting hair and make-up done around the beautiful wooden table in the sunlit dining room with her bridesmaids, to having her wedding photos with her husband in the beautiful grounds, to staying for their honeymoon night at the cosy adjacent Garden Cottage, to joining us for a delicious breakfast cooked and served for us by Emily the day after - my daughter and all of us could not have felt more at home than we did at Abbotstone Farmhouse. Fred was so helpful and patient replying to all my questions and requests prior to the wedding weekend which was so helpful for me. We would love to come back in the future to make the most of all the house has to offer!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House Cottage for my partner’s 40th - the perfect place for 15. It was beautifully decorated, nearly every room had an en suite and the living room space was incredible. Thoughtful touches and really well appointed. The grounds are spectacular - lots to explore. Plenty of pubs near-by, we went on a lovely walk to Ovington. Thanks for a great stay, would highly recommend!

We have been fortunate enough to attended two events at The Grange. Both where spectacular due to the magnificent surroundings of this estate. It really is one of Hampshire’s well kept secrets.

The Clocktower exterior is beautiful and it situated in a secluded site - plenty of stars at night if the sky is clear. The inside is well equipped for any duration of your stay, incredibly cosy, with comfortable beds, and lovely open plan living area for relaxing and warming up after all the rain!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Abbotstone Farm House! The house is beautifully maintained and huge, plenty of space for 6 families and had everything we needed. The pool was surprisingly warm! Communication was excellent and Fred & team helped us have a catered dinner one night which was a total treat. We’ll be back next year!
