Lucky they only got one starI visited this cafe at a garden center and, to be honest, it was pretty disappointing. The place was really dirty and the tables were not properly cleaned. The overall cleanliness was just not up to par. I also found the service to be quite slow and inattentive. The food was mediocre at best, and the prices were a bit too high for what we got. I wouldn't recommend this cafe if you're looking for a clean and enjoyable dining experience.

Went to the cafe for food and drinks - service was excellent. Young girl called Danni was extremely helpful as wasn't sure about the system, and lovely till service from Simon and another guy (sorry can't remember his name might have been Gordon, but all worth a mention)Drinks came quickly and not long after the food which was good quality and again service was pleasant.Would definitely recommend and go back. :-)

Very expensive. Unnecessarily so really. I've been to independent garden centres selling very similar items that weren't that expensive and Dobbies is a chain so can at least benefit from some sort of bulk buying discount surely. So many items you can clearly see had been there a while because of the price. Plants looked taken care of though tbf but obviously at this time of year selection is limited. They have a Waitrose inside which again, so expensive unless you pick out reduced items that are coming upto their best before or use by dates. It looked like a Waitrose that was about to close down. Can't say I'd return in a hurry. Maybe worth a look purely for plants in the summer. Maybe I'm missing something and they can get away with charging the prices they do, if they can then fair enough.

It was ok...My partner and I visited for breakfast, with a potter around the sales. The breakfast was nice albeit luke warm and fried eggs were hard rather than runny. Worth noting for fairness, it was busy.We haven't been for a while, though my partner is a card holder, this is primarily as it's been a bad year for me medically, so it was nice to revisit.Despite the sales, I find the items lovely but quite expensive, which often means we're unable to justify the cost, particularly at the moment.Additional note, not sure if just my health or not, but I found it a bit chilly in the cafe, which I guess is due to energy costs.

My wife and I visited Dobbies on the afternoon on Saturday 4th November as I had been given a gift card for my birthday earlier in the year but had been unable to visit due to illness but were so much looking forward to using the £20 gift card in the restaurant. We found the garden centre a clean, bright place and we went to the restaurant and decided on the fish, chips and peas meal and purchased a tea and Diet Coke in addition to our meal. We were quite surprised by the price of the meal which came to £32 which in my opinion was quite expensive for such a standard meal. We settled down to eat our meal.! The peas and chips were lukewarm to cold and the fish was the same. In addition to this the batter was very hard and crunchy and VERY greasy as though it had been sitting in grease for some time. It was possibly the worst fish and chip meal I’ve ever had. Definitely not worth the money we paid for it and so overpriced. We found the staff very complacent especially the gentleman on the cash register at the pay point. It was a totally disappointing visit. We had traveled from Preston especially and had planned a pleasant outing.I doubt if we will be returning to Dobbies again given the quality of food and service.I wouldn’t recommend Dobbies restaurant to anyone who wants a decent mealJosephDate of experience: 04 November 2023

Extremely overpriced and the place is an absolute mess. Car park full of litter and huge weeds. The borders on the approach to the shop were full of dead plants and were overgrown. The outdoor section had loads of gaps in the display, damaged walkways, weeds (again) plus looked a general mess all round. I have given 2* because they did sell some lovely plants and shrubs but it's one of the worst garden centres I have seen and really needs an inspection from Dobbies Towers I think!

After coming for years, I don’t think I’ve seen it as run down. Areas looked very dark and empty after being told there was a 20minute wait on a cup of tea we decided to pass, I also couldn’t see a clean table. Hope some improvements can be made as we used to enjoy and we used to be members. Also the prices are a bit silly on most things.

Not been in many years and have to say it’s not great. People were complaining in the food hall, saying it wasn’t worth the trip booked via the hotel. Wrong food was sent out and we finished the food before we got the drinks. Quite overpriced for what it was.Christmas stock scattered about with some fake Christmas trees. Just looked bare. Halloween decorations consisted of a few pumpkin cookies. Very disappointed in my visit here.
