If you like dark bread with German / Austria quality standard than this is 100% your place. As take away perfect. You can also eat inside. They have also tasty sweets like croissant and cupcakes.

Waiters here were very unpolite, rude and not helpful.Despite the price of this place and the area, South Kensington, I would expect the staff to give good service to the customers.They only wanted to charge me, asking me to pay, not knowing if I had been served or not...Very rude when I was asking about the different types of pastries...The staff didn't considere to give us proper mugs for our coffee/chocolate, despite me saying we were going to stay in this place (not take away).And when they gave us the coffee/chocolate on the take away" mugs

I've never been to Ole & Steen, but today I was walking by their South Kensington branch and the bread looked so good, that I decided to go in. I was greeted by Gabriella who explained the different breads to me. I chose the chia seed and rye one and asked if it could be sliced. I told her that I'd just bought another loaf at another bakery chain in Gloucester Road, but was told there that because it was past 2 pm, they couldn't slice it for me.......Gabriella didn't think twice about offering to slice it for me, which I thought was very kind. Ole & Steen have found themselves a new customer!

Met up for a coffee and a chat today. It’s a unique Ole & Steen having more of a neighbourhood vibe than on a high street. They had lots of baked goods and sandwiches on offer. Coffee was decent.

Very inconsistent coffee (second photo from a few days ago). Charging almost 4£ for latte with poor milk froth and very watery taste. You should have a better work ethic and learn how to properly make a coffee… have some respect for the product you are serving customers

Do look for a seat prior purchasing your food and drinks as there are some diners whom tend to seat for a longer period of time even after completing their meal and sometimes use a table which is catered for more than one pax . Croissant was a tad dry for my liking . Service was not the best on the day of my visit

This is one of my favourite places when I’m in london ( actually one of the places I miss the most ) !! The social slice is my favourite a delicious soft pastry with yummy cinnamon and custard folded through its so good, i do occasionally try some of the other cakes which are also really good. The staff are super welcoming and friendly in this store it’s a lovely vibe and atmosphere great Pitt stop after a few hours at the museums ….. get the app and enjoy a free treat on your birthday and also collect points on your purchases every-time.

We ordered Cinnamon Social, just to take away. We had the tasters that they had put out and we just had to buy. Cinnamon Social was soft melt in your mouth pastry, with cinnamon delightfully flavoured through the pastry. Wow….just Wow!!!When I’m in that part of London again, I’m making a stop off. Truly delicious.
