Smyths Toys Superstores

1st May 2023 My daughter and I was shopping in Leicester Smyths which is miles away from Grantham to buy a bike not knowing they come in a box and you have to build them or the shop can do this very cheap for £10 but we would have to return. We were gutted we couldn't walk away with a bike today but Glynn a retail expert on the shop floor could see how disappointed we were and said he would have a word with his manager Brett and promised if we purchased the one of the shop floor he would replace it by building one the following day. They both agreed and made a very happy girl and when we got home we went for a bike ride and again today. I would like to say they were both very helpful and polite. I am pleased to say I thought customer service like this had gone but Smtyhs obviously still believe in helping the customer.I would like to say we did go to another bike shop who gave us no advice apart from he shouted over the counter if your looking for a bike and want it today don't bother it takes weeks to get it and were behind in building them so we left. So your looking for a bike try Smthys it was cheaper and had more teenage choice. Thank you Glynn & Brett

Sadly the store filled with Cannabis fumes which seemed to come from rear storage/ staff area . Very toxic and customers left . Reported in store and to head office but blamed on customers in store walking through ! ( def too strong to be just from someone walking through ! ) young children shouldn’t be subjected to this !

Had a collection to get, used the machine in store, it added my name to the board. Ended up having to ask about my order after half an hour as board wasn't getting updated despite other people using it. All the staff saw me waiting for a collection and didn't approach me once, no apology about the wait either. It wasn't even busy instore. If you aren't able to actually run the system of collection smoothly, don't have it. Also the box I collected looks almost secondhand it's so banged up.

As a person who only believes in online shopping i can wholeheartedly say my faith in going in-store has been restored today. I went in feeling anxious as a soon to be parent i was looking to purchase a pram.Two of the advisors Brett and Glynn (hope I have spelt your names correct) we absolutely above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and also helped us make our decision to purchase.Amazing experience but also outstanding customer service from both of the above. Unfortunately when it came paying Sarah on the till was either having a meltdown or must have smoked something too strong to be at work lol. But all in all a positive experience definitely recommend Smyths

I hate going to shopping for my kids as I never know what to get or were to find it in this smiths there was the most lovely helpful young man his name was Theo he really did make my day by being so nice polite, patient and helpful I will be coming back to shop here and have told all my friends and family about my experience.Hansdown the best customer service I've ever had

Took kids here to spend some Christmas moneyYou can shop at Amazon or eBay and find things cheaper I’m sure but they can’t see the toys. This is all part of the experience.Same as going to the cinema compared to watching a movie at home. Or eating out rather than making it at home. Anyways back to the storeSo much choice here and staff are really helpful. Very clean and well organised, Would deffo come again.Great work guys. Hope places like this stay open

This is a kids paradise the isles are long and well stocked and I could spend hours here looking at all the toys. Guaranteed to find a present for a child on the first visit. They also have great deals online. The click and collect service is also speedy and convenient.Lots of parking as well as disabled access.The staff are attentive and helpful.Our family loves Smyth's toys. Yl

Kids like coming here to have a look around especially near Christmas to see what they can put on their list! Has a large range of toys and games including computer games and outdoor stuff like bikes & sports accessories. Prices are reasonable - not overly expensive but always worth a quick Google to see if cheaper elsewhere. They do a nice catalogue at Christmas that you can pick up for free. You can also go online to reserve and collect or get delivery. About the last toy shop in the area since there's no more Toysrus or Dominoes!
