Went for food firstly the staff behind the bar 2 girls were lovely. Waitress who served us the food was miserable and not very sociable. Food not so good. Not much on the menu. We sat inside waited 40 minutes. food was served in cardboard bowls chicken looked and tasted like it had been sitting there all day and had been reheated . The toasted wrap was like cardboard hardly any filling inside. Food not worth the money you pay for it. Tables had not been cleaned/ wiped down. Maybe need more staff in busier times. Will not be returning.

Love their mac and cheese with side salad the chicken Kiev pizza is to die for and they do very good caverys. Best cauliflower cheese I have ever tasted! Staff always very friendly. And it's also dog friendly. Car park to the side can pay online. Will be first place I would visit coming back to England. ❤️

Original review was 4 years ago and it was really nice. Now it's gone down hill.We waited nearly an hour for food that was mediocre at best, fish and chips from the fare next door is better. Menu is tiny with no pub classics. Atmosphere is generally quite drab and not modern at all.Service was good though and it's quite cheap so wont break the bank if you want to eat out on a budget so that's a +Can't say I'll be coming back.

Definitely went down bill from a few years back, nothing classic on the menu, just burgers and pizzas, which are dry and rubber, kids meals now cheap fish fingers and served in a small cardboard circle tub. Shields being busy and the pub being empty is now understandable after visiting, staff were lovely, pub with dirty with huge cobwebs hanging above our table

Nice pub by the seaside.Great location to get a drink on the sea front.Didn't have the food but looked ok.Good priced drinks and quick service.

Food was absolutely delicious! Good size portions that fed even my unfillable pre-teens stomach! We visited on quiz night, so was a little rowdier than I would have liked for a family meal but everyone was very polite and respectful towards me and my family so it definitely didn't put me off returning

A Friday night and this venue was so quiet they decided to close by 9pm. We were meeting friends here after a trip from London and decided to get some food, we were asked to order immediately as the kitchen was closing. We opted for a few items which weren’t then available instead opting to get the chicken and fish platters, fish out of stock so needed to opt for the meatless instead.Neither option was of particularly good quality. Quite tasteless and bland.The table was very sticky and could have done with a good clean, considering it was so empty you’d think the staff could get on top of some of these basic tasks.The venue nicely decorated and a nice pool table area, being enjoyed by some patrons.It’s a mediocre venue and not one I’d be running towards in a hurry. Such a shame could be improved easily so.

Large, spacious pub. Good Guinness and great music. Closed very early. Table a bit sticky: I sense the place needs a good clean. But overall I had a nice time there for 90 minutes. Around £4.70 for a Guinness.

Food is the worst I have ever tasted in my life. Deep fried everything. They post photos on fb of their food and its nothing as advertised. They must of hired a different chef for that day for the purpose of the photos. A 1 star rating for the food here is too generous.
