Very friendly, great walks for the dogs in and around the woods. We spent a full day getting lost in there. Perfect location for exploring.

Great location, lovely host and really nice cabins. We had one issue with the hot tub turning itself on for the entirety of the first night which kept us up, it was very loud and couldn't be switched off. We brought this up to the host and thankfully it wasn't a problem for the second night.

REVIEW FOR BRAMBLE CABIN'NEW LUXURIOUS CABINS – PERFECTLY MADE FOR TWO – IDYLLIC RETREATBramble cabin is one of the newly completed log cabins made for two at Arraslea. The cabins are on the outskirts of the village of Alderwasley and in a perfect area for nice local walks , woodland walks, lovely local pubs or just relaxing and enjoying the surroundings at the cabin.( Also in great proximity to various towns and attractions such as Belper, Matlock,Wirksworth,Carsington,Ambergate and many more - but when we go , we go to enjoy the peace and tranquility that Arraslea gives us.)Having stayed in the large 2 bedroomed cabin several times now , we can already say how extremely hospitable and friendly the Owner's are. Corrine and Lance are a pleasure to chat to and will do anything they can to help you during your stay at Arraslea. The new cabins have been skillfully handcrafted to an amazing standard by the family. We stayed in 'Bramble' cabin – Both cabins are beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is very impressive.Inside the cabin you will find everything you need and more .The kitchen area has all mod cons such as fridge/freezer , cooker, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and you are greeted with a very thoughtful welcome pack including milk, bread, wine, chocolates, tea, coffee, sugar and even the luxury coffee for the coffee machine ! Very nice touch. The cabin has been kitted out in a way that is both luxurious yet still feels cosy and homely, with a comfy sofa, a quirky and comfortable bed ( a flat screen tv that you could watch from either sofa or bed if you just wanted to chill inside )and a breakfast bar with great views over the countyside. The en suite shower room is fantastic with a spacious 'double headed' shower and heated towel rail and the whole cabin was immaculately clean and well thought out.Outside the cabin there is a large decked veranda with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the beautiful views over the farm, nearby woods and surrounding area and various wildlife.Whilst we were sat relaxing we were entertained by some of the resident horses and the very friendly cat , and were lucky enough to see various birds of prey, goldfinches, lots of rabbits, bats and of course the family collies. On a clear evening the veranda is perfect for stargazing , and as we got up to leave incredibly early we also discovered it is perfect for sunrise too.All in all I cannot recommend Arraslea cabins highly enough and cannot wait to stay again.

Just spent a fantastic 3 nights in the Brock cabin. Although we was hit with 2 storms whilst there we didn't let it ruin our stay. We went on lovely local walks in the nearby woods exploring then came back to our cosy and warm cabin and slipped back into the hot tub and watched the stunning scenery. Also loved seeing the horses coming over to say hello each morning. Would highly recommend this place and looking at booking again already for the summer as I would like to experience this beautiful place in warmer months. Thankyou to Corrine for making our stay unforgettable and the lovely little gifts was much appreciated.

Absolutely beautiful cabin. We only stayed one night but will definitely be back. Lovely and peaceful. Great amenities. Spotlessly clean. A lovely touch by the owners to leave wine and chocolates and with bread, milk and a lovely little jar of butters and preserves. We wanted a quiet break away and we got just that. Bliss. Beautiful horses and we love the little pigs! Scenic views all around. Really loved it. Highly recommended. Thank you

Really nice spot for relaxing. Far enough away from the world for peace and quiet, but close enough to civilisation for life's essentials. Well maintained cabins in a lovely rural setting with country walks in every direction. We came here for a week long break, and have decided to use it as our future bolt hole.
