Bangor Castle Walled Garden
It’s always nice to visit the walled gardens in Bangor Castle. It was a rainy day when we called this time, and the gardens were emerging from winter. The cafe is lovely and each section of the garden has its own character, from lawns to planted beds to more rustic areas.

Bangor Castle Walled Garden
Amazing garden that looked great even on the rainy day in mid September. Had a nice chat with a few volunteers working there. I am already making the plans to visit early spring when all the primula candelabra will be in flower.

Bangor Castle Walled Garden
Beautiful enclosed garden full of fruit, veg, herbs and native plants! Beautiful to see the garden at different times of the year as there is always something new on show! They have festivals, concerts, picnics, guided tours and even a chilli festival in September which I love! Dog friendly and disabled access, toilets and a small cafe with outdoor seating! I highly recommend a visit!

Bangor Castle Walled Garden
Visited today with the start of Spring. Sun was shining and the visit was a pleasant surprise with well maintained gardens. Also Coffee Cure within the Wall with outside seating (Not open on Mondays). Toilets adjacent to the Coffee Shop.

Bangor Castle Walled Garden
Great garden with some beautiful flowers and plants. The open air sculpture exhibit was nice even if a few branches of wood zip ties together cost a grand.

Bangor Castle Walled Garden
Glorious gardens with amazing, interesting, beautiful plants. A lovely place to walk or sit on one of the benches scattered around the garden. The central fountain/pond is charming and there is such a serene sense of peace and tranquility throughout. The cafe is an added bonus and the bathrooms are clean and accessible. Different shows at different times of the year. Free admission. A place that takes you out of the city and into a peaceful oasis.

Bangor Castle Walled Garden
Lovely pathways surrounded by lush green nature leading to a stunningly beautiful flower garden. Many amazing, vibrantly coloured flowers and plants to admire and many areas to get lost in the serenity of. Plenty benches to relax on as well as a quaint little cafe in the garden to grab a nice coffee, tea or a snack at. Enjoyed my time and would definitely visit again

Bangor Castle Walled Garden
Really good gig from Eric Bell of Thin Lizzy fame. The walled garden is a great venue and hosts many events throughout the summer and I am sure there is something there for you. This year a canopy covered the stage and seating area which means you stay dry if it rains and it has a comfortable breeze to keep you cool on hot days
