I wish I could give MG Electrical 10 stars and not merely 5.MG Electrical are an extremely professional and trustworthy solar installation company. After visiting the property, and measuring up the roof space, they gave excellent advice about the number of panels we could install, the total cost of doing so [without breaking the bank], and the type of storage battery that was required. The communication between the company and ourselves has been excellent.This company are fantastically efficient, and the installation went without any problems. A full and thorough explanation and guidance on how the system worked together with a copy of a friendly user guide was given.Amazingly, MG Electrical remotely monitor our system to see if any tweaks or adjustments are required to make sure we are getting maximum benefit from the panels and if necessary will freely visit the property to carry this out.Its refreshing and reassuring to know that a company such as MG Electrical would go the extra mile to ensure their customers are happy and confident in the knowledge that their solar panel installation is worth the investment and that they are on hand to answer any queries or problems no matter how insignificant these may be.If anyone is considering installing solar panels, then I strongly recommend they get in touch with MG Electrical to get this company’s superb expertise, guidance and realistic evaluation and the knowledge that any installation carried out by them will be of the highest quality.

MG Electrical have fitted 8 solar panels, and everything we needed to make the system work - inverter etc. for us. We have been very, very, impressed with them and with everything they have done. They were recommended personally by a friend and they certainly lived up to, and actually far exceeded all the good things we had been told about them. Their price was very fair; they did exactly what they had said when they'd said they'd do it; and they were freindly courteous and consistently helpful. We can't praise them enough and would recommend them to anyone

Re: MG RenewablesI first contacted MG Renewables in May 2022 whilst I was enquiring after quotes for the supply and installation of PV solar panels, hybrid inverters and storage batteries. We decided that the electricity prices from Utility Companies was only going to move in one direction and, although we were not desperately concerned about “pay-back” time, it turned out that an estimate on the pay-back time on our investment was fast reducing as electricity prices were rising.Of the five or so companies that responded to my enquiry, two stood out as front runners but MG Renewables ran out definite winners for a number of reasons. I am very keen to have technical data to peruse and to make comparisons between products and Jacob Morrow certainly provided me with every bit of technical data on all of the components necessary to complete the installation. This proved to be extremely helpful because some of the components that Jacob’s firm had installed in homes in the past, all of a sudden developed a supply issue because of poor delivery reliability resulting from the aftermath of Covid. He worked tirelessly to research and re-source alternative components which had the same or better performance statistics and which were produced by manufacturers with similar or better reliability in terms of delivery, performance and warranty. It was also nice to have a supply and installation firm from the local area.The result is excellent. His company installed the PV panels in November ’22 and installed and connected the storage battery and hybrid converter at a later date as soon as they became available. The delay was due to the late arrival (Covid again) of some storage battery components to the UK battery manufacturer, GivEnergy. Despite the awful weather, the installation of the whole system was smooth, efficient, clean and quiet. I have not had any issues yet but if I had, Jacob is easily contactable. He has also contacted me on two occasions since the completion of the installation to check that we were happy with the system and hadn’t experienced any problems.Finally, my electricity usage in 2022 averaged 207 kWh pm (we have gas central heating). In 2023, the January to March months averaged 107 kWh pm. April and May were 56 kWh pm and June and July were 17 kWh pm. We are also exporting to British Gas.I thoroughly recommend that if you are considering investing in Solar panels and perhaps the installation of an eV charge point, contact MG Renewables.Peter Emery, Easingwold
