Food was lovely but the service was really poor.I had prebooked for a party of 14 people for a birthday but we were put on 3 different tables. Which was frustrating as I couldn't see why we couldn't have had the tables just put together.I asked for the birthday cake to be brought out when we had finished our lunch, but it didn't come. I then went to the bar and asked for it to be brought out. We waited for over 30 mins before I had to ask again, by this point we decided to eat the cake at home. The carvery and food was excellent, just the waitress' were so poorly skilled to handle the larger table. They didn't seem to want to be there.

The Young Vanish is a lovely warm and welcoming place to come for families to eat and for just a quiet drink. Tara and Lori always make me feel welcome having only moved into the area recently. All of the staff are very hard working and helpful. Even when the staff are noticeably busy they remain polite and professional. The staff and the quality of ssrvive is what keeps me coming in.

Was a nice breakfast, decent price, was empty when we went in the morning, but ordering mushrooms was a bit of a joke, we had finished our breakfast before they 'came'.Also, they just dump a bowl on the side and expect you to know they are ready and yours, and the potion size was poor. Other than that, was decent.

Just an OK carvery pub. All the meat/vegetables were freshly cooked (but only 4 types of veggies to choose from). Very crowded for a Sunday afternoon. However, the lady at the door was really nice and got us in, although we didn't booked and we were 3 adults & 3 children. The order must be placed at the bar.Reliable prices.Dogs are welcome on the bar area and in the garden, but not in the dinning area.

Breakfast was piping hot and delicious. Had to wait a while for bread to be topped up to make toast, which meant standing around waiting. Luckily, the breakfast I had was fresh so piping hot. Can't fault the quality. Lovely sausages, perfect, runny, fried eggs, crispy hash browns and thick bacon. Perfect! Minor thing and I appreciate money is tight but entrance area to toilets could do with a lick of cheap paint as it's tired and dirty. Also, although it wasn't directed about me, 2 members of staff were calling a customer who had asked for some sugar for her coffee as they had ran out. The language they were using about her was definitely inappropriate for a family pub and for how busy it was. Although I love it here, it isn't the first time I've heard staff calling customers or complaining how long their shifts are or bickering about other staff. Quite unprofessional and felt uncomfortable as we were sat close by trying to enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Credit to the kitchen staff though who work tirelessly to keep the buffet breakfast replenished.

It was my very first ever visit to The Young Vanish Inn. We were booked in to have a carvery. I chose the glazed gammon and turkey and it was so delicious. So soft and moist and it was all including the veg cooked to perfection. It is the best carvery I've ever had. I would definitely recommend it.

We went as a couple and had a Small Carvery and a Plant Based Chicken main course. The choice of help yourself vegetables and accompaniments was really good and it all seemed fresh. The roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese were especially nice. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We didn't have room for a pudding but there was a reasonable selection available on the menu. When we visited there was a set menu option for either a two or three course meal, each giving around a 20% discount. If you know you'll want dessert at the time of ordering then this seems a good option. We'll definitely visit the Young Vanish again.

It's my third visit to a Stonehouse venue, but my first time at this particular one. Plenty of car-parking, although not that well sign-posted. As you come up the hill there is a small car-park at the front & it's not obvious there is another to the rear. It was busy, but we had booked, so no issues there. Staff were pleasant & helpful. We both had the carvery - one meat-free for which you pay less. Plenty of choice of veggies, although not as hot as I would have liked, but certainly not cold. Food was tasty & meat looked good & not dried out. There are a variety of other food options available which are basic pub fare like scampi, burgers & pizza. Certainly reasonable food at a reasonable price.
