I have been to the vet for my pets and always has a good service, feel I’m being listened too and given options, to help, with the problem, thinking of cost but still making sure the animal is happy!

Disgraceful vet, completely lacking compassion. I've just called them as an injured fox was found on Claremont Road about 500 yards from there door. They immediately told me they won't look at a fox. I then asked if the vet had a moral and ethical duty to treat injured wildlife, and asked if they were refusing to do this. The lady then tells me they are not refusing, but the vet is in surgery - not what she had originally claimed. I asked to speak to the vet and another lady came on the phone. Presumably the practice manager. She tells me they refuse on safety grounds and that they don't have the right equipment. So i then ask what grounds and what equipment they need to help a fox that can't stand up. She says she doesn't know and is just repeating what she been told. At this point she starts to get fed up and says something like I don't want to keep repeating myself. So i give up as they have no intention of helping the poor fox.I then called Paxton Vets on Clifton St. Who immediately show genuine concern for the patient. They said to come straight in, and were absolutely wonderful and did all they could to help despite being busy. Please do not support a money making vet such as Croydon Veterinary Surgery. There are many other great vets in the area who genuinely care about animals and give back to help others not just line their own pockets.

Great practice, can always get an appointment very quickly and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The vet always listens to our concerns and explains everything throughout the appointment, as well as making sure that our cat is happy.

TBH This place has restored my faith in vets, kind, thorough and patient, they discussed the treatment options and a timeline for improvement, i leave there confident, I've left other vets feeling like I'd been to a high pressured sales event.Nothing but praise for them, from the lovely young lady at reception i spoke to, through to each vet (3 visits, one for neutering and twice for ongoing issue). My cat had no fear with the vet but she is called Blessing for a reason. :-)

I attended today with my cat Whiskas Adler, everyone is friendly and so helpful. I've used other vets in the past but after today and seeing how much they care, I won't be going anywhere else. Very quick to register online and book yourself in. Highly recommended to anyone.

This is a very cold , interested in money only business. The vets there show no empathy and they really don’t care about the pets or the owners-I had turned up for a quick registration health check of my kitten -I was 6 minutes late due to very bad traffic. They advised that as I was over 5 minutes late , they won’t see us !I had to organise this visit with my Autistic child and they just didn’t care - simply kept repeating the policy !The most important thing is that there was no one after us , I purposely waited there ( even they refused to see us ) and no one turned up at the time they were supposed to have the next customer!!The young receptionist kept smirking and when I pulled her up for this, she said she was trying to bite her tongue!Do you think if the vet owned this business would have turned away a customer for 5 minutes ?Also , it’s not what you say but how you say it and whether you show the empathy required in such cases. Please do yourselves a favour and find an independent one that actually gives a dam!

All together been there 3 times with my kitten 1st time I had just got him and was just wanting to sign him up to their VIP plan, I was offered an appointment for half an hour later for his health check. Greated by friendly staff, the vet answered all my questions and my kitten was well looked after and checked throughly. Brilliant veterinary surgery
