Great for a day out. There are no safety or warning signs around, so be sensible on the rocks and water. Not sure how deep the quarry is but the kids did wade in where they could see the bottom. Stunning scenery all round. Would have helped to have a plaque about the history of the place.

Awesome find, I didn't even know it was there. I was out cycling somewhere I don't usually go and turned up at this quarry, it is quite big compared to other quarries in the area. The water was clear and clean and had a good feel about it.

Lovely place for a summer swim. Car park about a mile away so you have a bit of a walk but you are rewarded with an excellent place for a picnic and a dip. Water isn't too deep apart from one area where you can't stand.

Beautiful here. One of my favourite lunchtime spots on Dartmoor. Be warned can be very wet on the approaches

Lovely views on this mostly level walk. If you walk around the top of the quarry it is a bit of a climb but you don't need to do that if you have mobility problems you still get great views on the trail out.

The quarry is a stunning oasis of blue in the endless, barren emptiness of Dartmoor. It's about a 15 minute walk from the car park with breathtaking views and plenty of opportunity to see ponies.

I guess there's 2 paths and car parks to get here. Well worth a stop. Suggested by my friend.Very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Not hard to get here, but suggest wearing boots cause of the road conditions along the way
