AmaStyles - Dreadlocks Loctician, Braids, Box Braids and Natural Hair Salon

Ama/her team convey a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere at the salon. I have been using their services, almost two years for interlocking my hair. They are very clued up on all types of natural black hair care if they don't know be assured they can find out for you.

If I could rate a 0 I would. Can not keep tabs on who she has booked when and where. I had booked an 3 train ticket just to get my hair loc’d by her and her partner who she allows to run the business with her cancelled my appointment without being willing to compensate my time. No apology whatsoever. I was also talked over and nearly yelled at during the conversation . Exceptionally disrespectful. Do not go here. Also, don’t try with replying with the “there’s not record of you on our books” you remember me.

Loved my hair! The ladies were so nice and they offered me tea and biscuits while I had my hair done. Got medium waist length box braids, the colour came out so nice and my hair was neat. Also my hair is quite short so I’m happy they could braid it. 10/10

Ama and Miriam are my stylist for my locs. They always make me welcome and always makes my hair look very professional. I was very pleased with Miriam's latest hair style she did for me. They are Knowledgeable about our natural hair, very professional and they both do it with great care. Ama has some lovely homemade, natural products, for hair and also skin products. I love the lemongrass hair products that Ama makes herself, the scent is absolutely devine! (and works well on my hair - very healthy). So glad I got it. Also the other natural, homemade skin products she has is wonderful. E.g. the family product I brought is wonderful - The Obonne Oil"

Amazing experience getting my knotless French curl braids done. Poor Yolanda spent nearly 7 very patient hours braiding like a Saint and I love my look. Absolutely unreal. Will definitely be back

I recently had my hair dyed washed and interlocked at AmaStyles. Ama has been attending to my locks for 3 years. She is very professional knows her craft which is very important to me for my locks and I love the natural products she makes. The oil is great for my hair.

I have been going to AmaStyles for years and yet again I have been impressed with their service. When I go to get my go-to hair style (knotless braids) I am always left astonished with the results as they are faultless. The stylists are always professional and give great advice on how to deal with type 4 hair. I will definitely recommend Amastyles to anyone in the future!!
