Nail & Spa

Every time I come to this salon, there is some sort of drama. No patron of any business should feel unwelcome when spending money, especially not while receiving such intimate services. It really makes people feel uncomfortable when you start speaking over them in a language they can not understand. The last time specifically that I visited, as soon as I walked in instead of being greeted, all the staff started looking at me and talking amongst themselves in their native language. I ask if it’s okay, they tell me to sit down. One staff member is side eyeing me, because he knows they are wrong for having me continue to wait. After being skipped over in the queue twice, I finally sit down to be serviced. Again, all of the staff start looking at me and speaking in their native language. I asked if everything is okay. A couple of them laughed, the woman servicing me just smiled. She also continued to cut me with the drill, and someone had to take over because she was not competent in the service she was attempting for me. I am very respectful of other cultures and would never ask someone to stop speaking in their native tongue, but when you use it as a way to conceal your true conversation and to be blatantly disrespectful in my face is when it becomes an issue. This happens far too much and I do feel a lot of Asian business owners need to learn how to treat patrons (which a lot of time are Black women) who are putting money in their pockets. The quality of service is decent, but I’m sure you could find a place equally good that respects their customers regardless of what they look like or where they come from.Update: I see other Black women in the reviews with the same complaints. Seeing a trend, I guess they have preferences. Our money spends the same way as everyone else’s. Do what you may with that information.

Got Biab nails here, which was ok, but when I went to remove and have just nail colour, I left the shop and saw such a bad job on the second coat. I ended up removing it and then saw some transparent 1st coat of Biab still there.My nails are in such a bad state, wish I could show them. It was the guy that sits in the middle who did it both times. When I said I only want removal and colour he lost interest. I could see other clients nails done which looked great.when you spend alot you expect a good job!!

Best nail salon I’ve ever been to for gel/ shellac. My nails are always done perfectly and they last long and have never chipped. It’s also very affordable and the staff very friendly. So glad I have found a salon I can trust

Was my first time visiting Nail & Spa, and the acrylics are fantastic! It did take a long time but could tell they was taking their time making sure they were all perfect! Really impressed with there work. The staff were so lovely and so accommodating being that we was running an hour late. So happy with the service I received! Will definitely be returning for my infills.

My go to salon for manicure and pedicure every time. Great quality nail service. That's all you need, really!

Very good salon. Nice staff. 4 stars because they have increased their prices and because it is more expensive when booking through Treatwell than on the phone.

Was told not to come back after I asked why is there a £5 charge forLong nails bearing in mind the price list shows a £3 difference. She told me because ‘they are extra long’ I challenged her because you already charged £3 for extra long so what is extra long? You cant make up rules as you go along and you certainly will not be talking about me in your language or con money out of people. It’s a shame I can not upload picture as I have already reviewed this poorly place before. I won’t be back and I will Inform the tons of international student in the community I recommend there! Disgusting workers!

Absolutely love my nails. They did a great job!Would recommend making sure you have a little bit of extra time if you go there since they’re quite popular and can get busy.
