Your Village Shop Ltd

I'd usually go there to pick up something for my lunch. But a couple of weeks ago I was running through the village. It was my 10th mile of a 16-mile run. I was quite seriously dehydrated and also needed a snack to stay on my feet. But unfortunately I was refused a card payment for it, which is, strictly speaking, not quite legal to do. I appreciate this is a community-run shop with its own struggles and issues because of that but I would also expect a little bit of compassion from the volunteering staff, which I wasn't offered. Just a cold apology. So I ran away, still dehydrated. Not sure I'm coming back again.

The shop is no longer there. It has been converted to a house since around two-years according to the locals. What a shame.
