Note: The 2 star rating isn’t a reflection of the sales executive Mr Z P who handled my queries and sold me the car. He was fine and no issues at all with his service.I bought a 2018 BMW X3 which appeared perfectly fine during test drive.Upon driving the car back home, a sudden knocking noise became apparent. Took it to my independent BMW specialist (who is also a friend) and he established that the top suspension struts needed changing, particularly on the right side, along with a number of other suspension/shock components. I obtained a list of parts that that needed changing, which Lowton Motor Company agreed to carry out the work and supply the parts.I sent them a video on WhatsApp with the noise, which is loud and can be heard (and felt on the spring if you place your hand on the spring) when turning the steering left and right.Also when driving on a bend, the car rolled quite a bit almost feeling like it will topple over.When I returned the car after about 5 days, I even demonstrated to Mr Z P the problem and showed him too.I then get a call a few days later saying the noise has disappeared after fastening the under strays, which were loose. But I was insistent that it can’t be right because I’ve witnessed the issue myself, sent a video and showed it to the sale executive. So either they’re calling me a liar or I’m going crazy and my mechanic must also be a liar!I then get a call back few hour later that same day from Mr P P who went into the workshop with the mechanics to talk through where the issue is. Obviously there was a communication breakdown. Because at that point they were able to identify the actual problem (sounds like the mechanic wasn’t shown the video at first).I’m then told that just because the rubber sleeve on the shock absorber is ripped it doesn’t mean it’s not functional. Well I know that! But if you turn the steering and drive over jumps you will hear the knocking! Furthermore the rip in the rubber sleeve wasn’t the part that was causing the issue. It was the Top Strut Mount and bearing.How did their 124 point check not pick this up? And yes I know from a visual inspection that the rubber sleeve being torn isn’t a fail, but checking online with VOSA MOT rules it should be an advisory at the least. But the MOT that came fresh with the car had 0 issues Identified. Which is a total lie! We know MOT can be fudged and this was a classic example and they allowed me to drive home 80miles with a car that was not roadworthy or safe.Long story short, they eventually fixed the issue and replaced all the parts that needed changing but in their words “because we promised you we’d do it” so not because there was an issue?They didn’t change the left side because there was no apparent issue.Personally, I will not be conducting any business with this company again, and I advise you to avoid them too if you can. Because only when something goes wrong will you realise the sh*t you’re in.(Pics attached)

Excellent service and very friendly staff..even down to the guys that do the valeting .Plenty of choice of cars available, all impeccably presented in nice well lit show room.Steve, who l dealt with, certainly knew his cars and went out of his way to complete the transfer, arrange the road tax and sort out any issues l though there may have been.Thanks guys l highly recommend the Car Lounge

Bought a car, car turbo failed on the trip home, all you need when it's the start of your holiday!Phoned Steven, who sorted another car out so I could get the family to the holiday destination, took some of the stress away, did turn up 2 days late, at least we had a break.Deal with this man if you get chance, will do his best for you.

They Sold a Car I put a deposit for!!!!!PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!! I have put £250 deposit for a car while being assured it will be taken of the market, only to find out that the sales team sold the car to someone else!!!!!! Can you believe that?! I have travelled far with 2 mechanics for some final checks and to pick up the car and after the test drive I found out that owner of the business sold it to his friend! Absolutely terrible and unreliable service especially after I was told a story that someone had finance rejected on THIS car and that its still up for grabs and comes first come first serve basis! I highly suggest to stay away to save yourself from dissapointment. The sales manager offered to refund the initial deposit and refused to cover any of my addition costs with a cheeky comment 'I'm not gona start throwing money at you' and took absolutely no responsibility for their mistake. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Purchase all my cars from this company due to never having any issues. Bought an 2020 Mercedes a45s was ready for collection fully prepped couple of days after purchasing :) this company go above and beyond for any of your motoring needs, any problems they get it sorted in a good time frame. Can’t recommend this place enough !! Thankyou to all the staff !
