great staff, good range of products. my Lass who's autistic and has other health issues got a bit overwhelmed there today and a lovely lady member of staff brought her a chair and a bottle of water. can't remember your name but thank you so much!

They can't order their own stock from their own warehouse, you have to do it for them, how very odd, when I get bananas from tesco I don't have to shimmy up a tree in Colombia,

Been to a few Pets at Home, the one in Consett has the most helpful and friendly staff, it tops the rest. Nothing is too much for the staff, they know how to balance with being supportive and letting you browse. Always use the Groomers upstairs, they are a fantastic team and really care for your pet. My place to go for all my pets needs.

Edited - I initially gave this store 5 stars but lately it’s gone downhill. Never any staff about and three times I’ve had to walk out without being served. Lots of staff seem to be ‘out back’ though.Also two days ago they sold my neighbour a fish tank new set up AND fish at the same time. No advice as to set up the tank and allow it to cycle for a week as it should be and he put his new fish straight in. VERY BAD PRACTICE. He came to me when he saw they were struggling and one is now dead. Shouldn’t be selling fish with a new set up. So my review has gone down to 2 stars.———————————/I have visited this store a few times and it’s always nice and clean and well stocked. Having acquired a fish tank lately we have been in looking at fish and always get asked if we need help. The tanks are a bit devoid of stimulus or hiding places for the fish but very clean. Ordered a huge sack of dog food on click and collect, which was brought out from the back within minutes. Prices (as with all PAH) stores are more than elsewhere but this branch is excellent. Bonus free car parking right outside too.

Adopted a beautiful guinea pig from the adoption centre in shop the person sorting the adoption out was really knowlegable & really cared about the guinea pig we adopted, happy to say that Flo has settled in really well & is a cute snuggle baby

Can I just say what an asset to your company David is at the Consett store. We have a blind diabetic labrador retriever and the help and empathy that David shows everytime we visit is fantastic. Well done David you are a credit to this store.

Went here for fish tank lady sold .e a bigger tank better value and I've now got 2 fish my cat is sitting next to the fish tank. He loves to watch them.

Service is outstanding. A young assistant was so helpful and offering suggestions when we had gone to purchase items for a puppy we will be collecting. Not pushy at all. Very cheerful and friendly. Took us to the checkout assistant who helped us to the car with our items. Very efficient service all round
