Gatehouse Cattery

I would give 10 stars if I could! I returned to Gatehouse Cattery last week with my cat a beautiful but very nervous boy who had never been in a cattery before. This is no ordinary cattery, all their needs are met above and beyond with love. You can leave relaxed and able to enjoy your holiday knowing everything possible is being done to keep your loved ones safe, fed and happy. Freya is amazing she even sent me pictures and a video on what's app within minutes of me asking how he was! This really reassured me . I can't thank her enough! He went in for a long weekend, but I would not hesitate to go back for longer stays. Thank you to Lissette and your amazing team.

I took my kitten Tigger to the Gatehouse Cattery for the first time 3 years ago and got caught up in the Covid lockdown. They were brilliant and looked after him until I managed to get home 3 weeks later sending me regular updates, such a comfort.He is now a regular visitor and loves being with his adopted Aunties. Just returned form a 10 day cruise, he was so chilled that he didn't want to come come home. Their standards never change and I am very particular who looks after him ! I always try to book well in advance to avoid disapointment as they are so popular......a good signThank you to Lissette, Freya and all the team xx

Just picked up my cat from her first stay here. Gatehouse had her for 4 days, at a months notice. I felt so at ease knowing they had her and it sounds like she had the best time! I have definitely found my regular cat sitter! I went to have a look around first and they really pull out all the stops to make your cat feel at home and loved. Recommend to anyone and now I can book to go away without worry.

I had never used a cattery before gatehouse as I’m so overprotective of my little boy but after having a look round and meeting the lovey ladies my mind was put at ease! The ladies (or Bertie’s aunties) at gatehouse are all so lovely and knowledgeable and look after him like he’s there own! He’s stayed here many times and always comes back home relaxed, happy and healthy. We get regular updates, pictures and videos whilst we’re away. They provide a wide variety of food and toys and the facilities are always spotless! They have a lovely garden for the cats to look out on in their outside rooms as well as the courtyard where the cats can watch people coming and going. Can not recommend gatehouse enough! Thank you for always taking such good care of our Bertie bear ❤️

Hello I wanted to say a big thank you for looking after Boots .Gatehouse Cattery is so lovely everyone really caring and kind and they looked after Boots so well and he so enjoyed his supper each evening fresh chicken .I will be sending Boots to see his Aunty's at Gatehouse when I go on my holiday again .It is a never nice well run cattery .It was lovely to get regular pictures too .iBoots updates updates

I was very impressed with the security, cleanliness of facilities, numbers of staff and their friendliness and devotion to the cats in their care. Teddy came back from his first ever stay in a cattery happy and content, with no signs of stress (self harm) or eczema. He told me all about it on the way home!

My two cats Chester and Gizmo spent a week with Gatehouse cattery and they received the best of care. It’s very clear that The people who work and run the cattery love cats. We received photos and videos of our fur babies whilst they were there as well as messages to tell us how they were doing. We were extremely impressed with the cattery and will use them again if we ever need too.Thank you to all the members of staff for caring for our cats.

My 7 month old kittens Cleo and Gwen stayed at the Gatehouse Cattery this weekend and were so happy and settled that one of them tried to stay when it was time to leave!The staff are extremely kind and caring, asking lots of questions in order to get to know the cats and paying lots of attention to them with fuss and cuddles. They sent us a video of them where you could see they were having a good time and were very comfortable. It really gave me peace of mind and I was able to properly enjoy my time away.The suites are very clean and spacious and have everything a cat could need, including a good sized catio. The security is excellent and there are plenty of staff about so the cats are in great hands. I should mention that they were also able to take the kittens with only a few days notice. We are so pleased with the care Gwen and Cleo had and will 100% use again.

Really disappointed with our 4 cats 2nd stay here. They were housed in a pen barely big enough for 2 cats let alone 4 & upon dropping them off we were told the Cattery was now fully booked . We picked up 4 very upset cats a week later and felt compelled to write this review. Our cats will definitely never be staying in this place again. If you do use this place & have more than 2 cats remember to see the size of pen they will be in as some are quite small & cramped, for example ours was a struggle to even turn around in holding a carrier box.
