Deluxe Nail Spa - Clapham

Very bad experience. I have not gone to get my nails done is so many years at a nail shop. I had my appointment booked for 3:30 and they changed it for 2:50 so I had to leave work earlier than usual. I got there and still had to wait until 3:20/3:30 for my actual appointment to begin. When I booked full set acrylics, they did not specify that you could not do design and if you did, it could only be with shellac. I picked the colour I wanted and it was all fine until they asked me to go dry my nails did I realise how bad they were done. I sat, drying my nails for 30/40 mins and had to ask them if they were dry a few times. Then the lady said it was okay to leave and we had to lift cash, couldn’t pay by card. It’s funny because when booking, you have to put in your card details otherwise you’ll be charged if you cancel and so I went out to get some cash and when taking my card out, my index nail got messed up. I thought I was dry like they said? I have never experienced this in my life and my nails dry super quick when I get them done regardless. As you can also see in the pictures, under my nails is so bad. They didn’t clean up and left under my nails looking horrible. The texture of the nail possible feels very cheap and I honestly don’t like leaving these kind of reviews but I am so upset and disappointed with my experience. I have holidays this weekend and my nails are going to look terrible. The worst £30 I’ve spent. Yes I could’ve gone back but I had another appointment at 5pm. I want a refund for at least half the price I paid, if not all of it.

Unfortunately not the best experience. Rang ahead to check they’d have space for a pedicure around 1pm and they said no problem someone could see me then. Arrived and they said it would be a 5-10 minute wait, which was not a problem. More and more time kept passing, by which time I felt it would be a waste to leave having waited so long as they kept saying they’d be with me soon. I was eventually seen at 1.40. I had to be at my own birthday drinks after the appointment, which is why I rang ahead to check if they had space. They said they could try to do the pedicure quicker, but I said to please not rush it, but they did and what should have been a 40 minute pedicure took 25 minutes. They did an Ok job but I can still see dry bits of skin on my feet, as the buffing was rushed. All round quite disappointing, especially as it was on my birthday. If you commit to fitting a client in at a certain time, please stick to it.EDIT in response to owner:When I called about coming for 12.30 I specifically said a walk-in slot as at that point I didn’t know exactly when I’d be able to get there and didn’t want you to hold it specifically for me. I’m sorry you lost a client but at that time I did specifically say I was asking about walk-in availability as I wasn’t 100% sure on timing. When I rang the second time I tried to make clear I was actually trying to book an appointment as I was knew I would definitely be there at that time. Perhaps this got lost in communication.

I’ve been going to Deluxe regularly for almost a year now and I’ve had an excellent experience every time. The staff are friendly and professional and the salon is always impeccably clean. They have a good range of treatments to choose from. I always get acrylic extensions with shellac and have always been pleased with the results - often lasting nearly three weeks without any chipping or breaking. The prices are very reasonable too. I would highly recommend Deluxe.

I have been coming here for nearly two years now, and after trying MANY salons in the Clapham/Brixton area, I can confirm they are definitely the best. They are attentive and detailed and super friendly. Always love coming here!

No need to search any further! Deluxe Nail Spa is the place to go. Their SNS nail artistry is incredible, and they make you feel like part of the family. I can't wait for my next visit!
