Wow - Amazing place and excellent food. Just moved to the area and we called in and the staff were incredible friendly and the atmosphere amazing. This is a proper pub as it used to be with a really good selection of homemade food. Nothing reheated and all freshly cooked. The deserts are to die for. Very clean and since opening up after lock down they have done a great job in welcoming everyone back. in a safe a professional way. Cant believe the prices either - You must give this place a try

Had Sunday lunch here yesterday. Really friendly quick service, great value for money. Old fashioned pub and seemed to be bustling with locals which is great. Decent range of options on the menu all reasonably priced.

Popped in on off chance as on holiday in the area. There was a wake on but were welcomed by the staff and excellent service on the food. Thank you for being so welcoming staff and locals.

Had a christening celebration held here for 30+ people. Well looked after by the team, great hot buffet laid on and desserts. Sophie cut the cake perfectly for us. It's what you might call old school but there's nothing wrong with that at all, as it was delicious.

We came here for a family meal. We ordered the food and had some drinks. When the food had arrived we was given grey ham which was hard and rubbery and overall uneditable. We was waiting for check backs but no one came over to make sure our food was okay which lead to us having to go and talk to a member of staff ourselves. When explaining the issue with the food the lady had snapped back saying “well you why didn’t you come tell us” I then answered with “greene king policy states that when serving food you should always do check backs” which is what was expected. She then tutted and rolled her eyes walking past me to the table to then take the food away. I then asked if it was possible for a refund at which point she had said “yep” and stormed off. When she had returned with the refund she handed it over to me with aggression then walked off without saying a word. I think that this customer service is not acceptable in any way and no one should be treated with this level of disrespect.
