Central Street Post Office

Bad experience ever ! Sent 2 postcard on September and a postcard on 1st of October via this post office back to my home country , they haven't receive yet. And I went to another post office to to send a post card 2 weeks ago, my family just received it in my home country !

Shop owner was not there during advertised opening hours - a local told me he had gone for a coffee and didn’t say when he would be back. Don’t waste your money there. We were all just waiting for him to come back.

The man working there was very nice and friendly! Helped with my parcels even though they didn't have enough space in the shop to keep until pickup. Extremely appreciated.

Another bad experience with a counter clerk, who simply wanted to brush me off from delivering a drop off for Amazon. Amazon list them as a drop off point, he started yelling about how Amazon did this, and not him. I really wish this was much more customer focused.

Amazon returns should be handled by this branch, but they don't want to take them. Bad experience.

My favourite post office! Jimmy is amazing and so helpful with everything. I am there at least 3 times a week and it is always a great service

This is a review for the newsagent on King Square that acts as a post office too.I went there on a Saturday to post an package. The post office area was shut due to me having missed the last Sat collection time.The owner restarted the system for me to allow me to post my package, saving me a lengthy trip on Monday.He packed my valuable neatly in a box and went above board to help me.He seems to enjoy a friendly relationship with many locals who came and went.Very good local service with a human touch, which is sadly disappearing these days.He also refused a tip. Some people take pride in their work.Highly recommended.

I love this post office. It's my local and I'm in there once a week at least. The familiar face behind the counter is hardworking and we have a laugh every so often. Everyone in the hood knows this post office. It's in a little square where people hang out in the summer because there's a pub there and a cafe too. It's a great spot, and I really want to make sure this post office remains. So, please use it :))) Send thank you notes, birthday cards, holiday cards. Buy your stamps there. It's a full service post office.Otherwise, I have to go to that big post office in Old Street where everything is automated and the few workers left look miserable and stressed out. Keep the local post office going.You can't beat the human touch!

Really kind and efficient! When there is a service I need to be done he does it with haste and I am very grateful. The convenience of the post office sector is really convenient for me. 5 stars!!
