Went there because of the opening offer of 4course dinner with my partner. The food was thoughtfully prepared, they all looked amazing and tasted delicious :) The service was a bit slow at the beginning but I think it was because the restaurant was really busy. My partner is Gluten Free and they have been able to exchange items on the menu without any hassle and has been very professional throughout. The dessert was one of the best I’ve had too. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and professional service! Loius made an effort to put a candle on my nephew’s dessert so we could sing a birthday song for him to make it extra special to celebrate his birthday at Kibako.. extra special experience to remember… highly recommended and will definitely go back.. excellent food with excellent service from all the kibako staff… warm and welcoming atmosphere!!

Beautiful little place serving stunningly prepared food. We enjoyed everything we had. I honestly thought the wagyu would be the star of the show, but the black Cod was absolutely insane. The wasabi is unreal and like nothing we have had before....

A bit pricey, but the food was excellent. We went for the grand sharing platter and enjoyed every dish! The quality of the sashimi was excellent. The black cod divine! The dessert was okay.Rather surprisingly, we were let down by the over indulgent and excessive service. We were speaking to different waiters throughout the evening and often asked the same questions and it seemed like there was little team communication. They were constantly hovering around the table, and while it's good to be attentive, it seemed a bit intrusive. The tipping point was when the bill landed seconds after they had cleared dessert and we were still finishing our wine. There were a few empty tables so I don't see why there would be a rush to get us out so quickly. So a rather sour end to what was an excellent meal!

We had the 4 course wagyu set menu. The food was really high quality and we enjoyed every single dish. The staff were really responsive and would always top up water and take away plates as soon as you were finished. They were all really friendly and the atmosphere and decor was stunning. The overall mood of the whole restaurant was really good. It is definitely worth the money and I’ll be coming back soon.

The food here was amazing. Every bite was an incredible example of tasty Japanese cuisine. We opened for the 4 course menu, which included black cod and Wagyu beef. Coupled with prawns and scallop. The wine pairings were also great! All the staff were so polite and friendly. We had an amazing time! We will be sure to return!!

Hot stone’s second London branch Kibako was not a hit but not a miss at the same time. Although I have been now quite a few times to Hot Stone, we wanted to try other places from the brand too.Presentation is 5/5 and service 5/5, however I had to take 2 points of food. The first course - a squash deep fried croquet was tasty but lacked a bit of flavour. The second course the sashimi & sushi omakase box - plenty of variety but a few did not hit the spot - I love tofu but I feel the mango & pineapple salsa was too sweet and the salmon Parmesan tartare was a total flop; I enjoyed the miso aubergine, tuna, salmon and seaweed rolls. Wasabi was the star of box. Third course was exquisite but the paper thin wag you beef was too little, the pictures advertised did not look like the plate. I throughly enjoyed it though, the meat melts in your mouth, the black cod is divine. I personally don’t like cod but I’m converted, I love black cod. The miso soup and pickled cucumber, radish and carrot, the seaweed are a great touch as well. The fourth course was a total let down - the pineapple carpaccio had a weird taste and did not eat it, the pana cotta raspberry yogurt pot was so sweet my cheeks were getting red; I still finished it as it wasn’t bad but it was too sweet and I have a big sweet tooth. Between courses we did have the signature tempura flake roll - one of the best rolls but not good for waist, but delicious! Overall 3.5/5 - good to try once.
