Stopcocks Women Plumbers

Wonderful, trustworthy plumbers - Petra has fitted a shower pump for me, and she also serviced my boiler. She is totally reliable, responds to all queries, turns up on time, and finishes the job. I feel absolutely safe with her - I feel that the prices are reasonable and the quality of her work is extremely high. She is also fun to talk to, and not patronising. I will never ask anyone else to work in my house now that I know Petra!

I had a problem with some pipes being blocked. I called Stopcocks and they were so helpful and friendly even though it was a weekend. They talked me through solutions on the phone and were great. I will definitely be using them again. Also what a fantastic company name!

We had an amazing experience with Stopcocks. We had a problem with our sink leaking, and Stopcocks gave us a call and helped us to fix it ourselves. It was really cheap for the service and empowered us to feel like we can fix anything in our house. Which is a rare experience to get from a business. Thanks so much Stopcocks, cant wait to use you again.

Fantastic service. I needed a tap replacing as it leaked all through covid lock down.one man came and made it worse , so I contacted stopcocks and they were excellent. Bex came and sorted out the tap anput in my new one.She was friendly, methodical and showed me there are good plumbers out there! I would definately use again! She was also tidy and careful while also making friends with my 2 nosey dogs Thankyou

An excellent plumbing company with a fantastic name. The company was recommended to me by a friend and brilliant Debbie came out to repair a shower and also take a look at some radiators. We had just moved in and so didn't know much about the flat/where the water shut off might be or how parking worked but Debbie was incredibly helpful and non-judgemental! She explained what was wrong with the shower and what would be the most economical approach - everything was sorted in no time at all. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Turning complaint into feedback and refusing to engage to solve issues.Do not use @registeroftradeswomen subdivision of Stopcoks. They recommended @VikkiCook @LadyPlumbfor a plumbing job. This lady did a disastrous job at a very high price, repaired under sink leaks with silicon (still leaking), damaged new appliances and fitted them inadequately. She was also unpleasant and demanded payment before leaving contrary to the 7 days terms written on the Register of Tradeswomen invoice. Could only come back in 6 months …I used someone else to correct and finish her job.When I complained about this plumber to Register Of TradesWomen, they turned my COMPLAINT into “Thank you for your feedback, we will take it internally from here on.” When I asked for their complaint procedure or for them to engage with me to resolve the matters. I got an email back saying, “we will discuss the matters with our lawyers”.To this day, I have not heard back from them AND having done an internet search on the recommended plumber, discovered that they were several negative reviews on her already.Register Of tradeswomen, are supposed to vet their candidates, and help customers until the work is finished. They recommended someone who is incompetent and refused to deal with any issues relating to the job or the plumber. Their terms and conditions are also very unclear.PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM.

I used their Ask An Engineer service and Hattie called me soon after saying she knew exactly what the problem was and she had already ordered the part needed and could come and fit it the next day! Amazing service, highly professional and knowledgeable, arrived sooner than expected, fixed it in no time, and being able to speak over WhatsApp video call made it so much easier. Being a woman living alone it's really difficult to trust tradespeople to do a decent job without taking advantage and I'm so glad I found Stopcocks because it's clear they just want to help - next time I won't put it off and I'll call them straight away.

What a fantastic organisation! I had a telephone consultation in which Hattie was extremely helpful, she sent me everything I needed to know via email following the call. She could have easily pushed me into booking a plumber but instead she gave me the options of attempting the fix myself (which I really wanted to do) or sending me a plumber. I opted to fixing the toilet myself - which I did following Hattie's help. Hattie was friendly, trusting and knowledgeable. Without a doubt I will be using Stopcocks in the future!

Had our boiler replaced by Petra and we're really happy with the job. A fair quote, the work was done in good time, we were kept informed as to what was going on ... and the new boiler is pretty good too. Happy to recommend.
