Beautiful old building with a lovely well kept garden. Staff were friendly and we were seen exactly on time. Had to register a death so can't comment on wedding, but we did see the room and it was nicely laid out.

It's a lovely building and the staff are very polite and helpful, cheerful and know what they are doing.

I received the most excellent service from a lady called Maureen. We arrived about 12 minutes before the closing time, which is a terrible thing to do, yet Maureen was super friendly and very accommodating. Everything was dealt with very smoothly, she was so very helpful in general, making it into such nice experience. Brilliant! Thank you so much!

We registered our intent to have a civil partnership at Sutton Registry as we live in the area. The interview was absolutely fine and the person who registered us was very friendly but unfortunately they inputted my partner's name incorrectly even though we triple checked and signed off on the correct info. They registered him the same first and last name and then messed up the process of rectifying it - something we didn't find out until Surrey called us to let us know we weren't actually legally registered for a ceremony! Even worse, they incorrectly advised us that we didn't need to contact the registry in the borough that the ceremony is taking place to book the actual registrar. This meant that by the time the registry in Surrey contacted us the ceremony time we'd registered in Sutton wasn't available and we've had to change our timings for the entire day, as well as having the ceremony at a time we aren't at all happy with. It feels a bit of a slap in the face to pay £900 for this service! Just a word of warning to people registering in Sutton but having a ceremony in a different borough - make sure you follow up personally and don't rely on this registry to do it.

We got married in the Drawing Room in July 2023. Sue and Matthew did a brilliant job and put us and our guests completely at ease. The room was ideal for an intimate wedding like ours and we really loved the garden. Have just had the photos back from our photographer and the venue really does look great. So pleased with our choice and couldn't recommend more. Thank you again Sue and Matthew.
