Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World

Had the most amazing time with my son today. The zoo is lovely and the experience was superb, loved the lemurs.Laughed so much trying to look scared at the dinosaurs and took some fantastic photos.It's a great little zoo and so worth the visit, definitely coming back next year with my little niece and nephew ❤️

Great place for little ones. Visited for the first time during school holidays and will definitely return.Would recommend buying animal feed as there's a great section of sheep, goats, wallabies and more that you can feed.Interesting selection of animals that you don't normally get in a bigger zoo.Childrens play area was good as there was something for all ages including our neat 2 year old.Lemur and wallaby walk through were great features aswell as the dinosaur area. Detailed information and lots of variety of dinosaurs displayed.Ample space for bringing a picnic. We didn't buy any food as the queue was rather long but it seemed popular.Good value for money.

Had a really good day out. Nicely laid out and we saw most of the resident animals which is something you don't always get at larger zoos. Spent 6 hours here with my daughter and granddaughter who played for quite a while on the well equipped playground and we enjoyed a picnic that we brought with us at the tables provided.

We went for the carnivore meet and feed experience and utterly enjoyed every moment of it.We were greeted by a cat called Betty even before we got into the place to show our tickets.We had a good wander around before the experience, it's bigger than you would think.We met a snake called Dave, an owl that had been in the last Harry potter movie she was so pretty, a handsome serval and fed three foxes (one had three legs, he was called Zeus).I can't recommend the place highly enough.I have mobility impairments and I was able to get around easily enough. Toilets on site are by the entrance and shops.

Great place for families of all ages. Animals well looked after. Children's area to feed and interact with the animal. Food can be purchased at the entrance at £3, the tub is a reasonable size. Undercover eating areas is a bonus. Great play area with different sized play equipment. Plenty of parking just drive slow and a good helping of uneven potholes. Dinosaur area a defient must for Dino enthusiasts, noisey though so be careful with very young children.

A great day out for all ages.Charming small zoo with an interesting wide range of animals, and also dinosaurs! We enjoyed a zookeeper experience which was well worth the price, and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Little cafe on site serving hot food was a lovely addition to our day as it rained, but still had a lovely time.

Great for little ones but wear wellies or boots if it's been raining. The wallaby lemur walks are really good. The selection of animals they have is far greater than I expected and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

Absolutely amazing day out with my loved ones. Lots to do and see. All the staff are very cheerful and helpful. Food is reasonably priced, but it's not a large menu. Loads of picnic spots if you want to take your own food.Highly recommended for animal and dinosaur lovers.

This is a ‘rustic’ zoo - not like Chester or Twycross - but this makes it unique…it’s more personal & friendly. Staff are lovely, chatty & informative.Paths get very muddy.Some enclosures are big & spacious, others smaller, but the staff care & clearly know & love the animals.Lots of areas to play for children under 12.Seating areas available.Limited indoor seating.Small soft play for under 5’s.Highly recommend the carnivore experience - where you feed foxes, hold an owl & snake & go in the Serval enclosure.Dinosaurs are also fun - dark walk through woods lit by coloured bulbs, speakers are loud & they move - we enjoyed it.I would recommend.
