Headless Cross Dental Practice

An exceptional dental practice. Visited recently as a new patient and found friendly and helpful reception staff plus an excellent appointment system. I was seen by Dr Martin Craven who has been most welcoming, approachable and professional - taking the time to explain treatment options and potential outcomes. I feel very reassured to have met someone as capable as Martin who is doing a wonderful job of restoring my dental health.

My family and I have been treated by Simon for many years and wouldn't dream of going elsewhere. When I was younger Simon had to take his mask off and see me in the waiting room as I was very scared! Now at the age of 26, I haven't been particularly lucky with my teeth, but I have always been able to rely on Simon's skill and professionalism. I have recently had two wisdom teeth removed and can't fault my experience. Simon talked me through the process prior to and during the extractions and the after care was exceptional with no swelling or bruising and just a dull ache for a few days after. I now live in Swansea, over 150 miles away, but still return to Simon whenever needed! I would never consider changing dentist and would recommend Simon and the team at Headless Cross without hesitation!

My husband and I visited Simon today and as usual the team pulled out all the stops to ensure a stressful and highly anxious visit was as tolerable as possible.Clear advice , photos and explanations, good humour a pleasant environment and a reception team able to organise future visits up to a year ahead .We highly recommend this practice as one to explore and engage with.Thank you team .... you know who you are !

Martin is without doubt the best dentist I have ever been to. He is very professional, explains everything clearly, is very patient and gentle, and very considerate regarding patient's comfort and welfare. He is also very friendly with a manner that puts you immediately at ease.My wife had been a patient of Mr Norman for many years and was quite concerned when he retired, but having now been with Martin since he moved to the practice, she thinks he is exceptional.I cannot rate this young man highly enough.

My first filling at 33 years old.Over the past few months, I have been having a problem with one of my molars, I had been ignoring it and putting it down to stress. I decided to bite the bullet and get it checked out.Dr Simon carried out a thorough examination and took photographs and an x-ray of the affected tooth so I could see what the problem was. He was very informative and talked me through all the options available.Filling day:I was very nervous on the day of my filling. I had never had a filling before. Simon and his lovely nurse Lucy were very welcoming during the appointment and made me feel at home.Simon talked me through the process before we got started so I knew every step of the way. He talked me through the images he had taken at the assessment and his plan for the tooth.I didn't even feel the injection at all, just the cold air from the suction (and I've had quite a few injections in the past from various health professionals).He isolated the tooth with a rubber sheet, which I have to say was amazing. I could swallow at ease without any horrible tastes, I didn't need to worry about breathing as my mouth wasn't filling up with water and it made the whole process a lot easier.His wonderful nurse Lucy kept checking in on me throughout the appointment (which was really sweet of her).Simon also took detailed photographs of each stage of the treatment. It is safe to say the filling needed doing, he showed me a photograph of the decay inside the tooth, which was pretty gross :-(I am really pleased with my new tooth, it looks amazing, I can barely see where the filling is, he's blended it in so well :-DReflecting on the advice given during the appointment, I have changed my diet and gotten rid of the bar of galaxy caramel I used to eat in the evening, as I don't want any more fillings.I would highly recommend Dr Simon Walker for any filling/restorative work.Thank you for my new tooth :-D

I have been going to Martin for a number of years now, even following him from his previous practice. He is the best dentist I have ever had. I used to be quite nervous but now I dont mind going at all. Martin is super friendly, very patient and gentle. My husband and parents have also moved to see him and we all highly recommend him.
