Lovely early supper tonight. Food was fresh and nicely cooked, portions good. We had starters, main and a bottle of wine. Service excellent, friendly and welcoming. We live within walking distance just along the harbour and marina wall and will definitely become regulars.

When we arrived seemed a good atmosphere and bar staff were very attentive. Ordered food and a bit of a wait, but as newly opened accepted a few teething issues. When food arrived were advised some food not available and what did we want ,other dished incorrect or cold. Got alternatives fairly quickly , but not asked re allergies and dishes had lots of chillies and unable to eat . Waiting staff and manager dealt with queries satisfactorily.lets hope better next time .

This place has masses of potential but falls a little short currently. It's beautifully decorated and the furniture is all really lovely. The service is hit and miss, slow bar service but very friendly, hardly any table clearing, we just moved our plates onto an empty table, which isn't great. Waiter brought plates, cutlery and serviettes in three trips, only brought 2 napkins for three of us. No one came to see if the food was ok.The food is OK, burger patty was a little bland, needs more seasoning, but the chips were to die for. Korean beef with ginger was incredibly salty but the beef was incredibly tender. The views are amazing and it's got a lovely atmosphere. They need to up their service game to really do this place justice. Hopefully they'll get these sorted.

Our first visit to Salt didn't disappoint. Really love the makeover they've given the place. Food came out quickly after ordering and was delicious (burgers for the adults and pizzas for the children - you need to ask at the bar about the children's menu). Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Lovely to see the place busy. Can't wait to visit again!

First time visiting Salt and we were not disappointed! Myself and partner both chose the pork roast. Service was excellent and we couldn’t fault the food! The BEST roast we’ve had at a restaurant. Beautiful views of the boats and sea! Staff were very attentive and made sure we were happy with everything! Will absolutely be coming back again! Well done guys!

Normally I write a review to moan and warn people how bad a place is but wow can I say this place is fantastic! We was welcomed but a lovely lady called Leah and she was amazing so kind and truly willing to go the extra mile for her customer my and my partner order the salt burger with chips and it was the juiciest burger I’ve ever had ! And most of the time I leave the chips as I’m too full after the burger but I just had to finish them as they was just perfect I would honestly give 100000/10! Thank you to all the staff but most to the lovely Leah see you again soon

I agree with a lot of the other comments about the place being new and there being issues with menu availability and the organisation of the staff/late food. However I have to balance that off against the fact that when the food did come it was very good, albeit at the price it should be good, and the fact that my experience of the team is that they were trying to do their best, everyone had a good attitude and were friendly. I hope leadership sort out these teething issues because if they do it will make this a very good restaurant.I would recommend the Rib Eye on the bone steak with fat chips and peppercorn sauce. The steak is full of flavour, the sauce was good and chips had a bit of crunch. Do not order the skinny chips. They were not good.

DisappointingHad previously had many enjoyable evenings here at the boat that rocked. Decor has been updated and it looks fresh but that was the highlight. No table service so everything needs to be ordered at the bar. Guinness off. Pizza oven not working. Garlic bread not available. Only one braised beef left. It took us 10 minutes going to and from the table to get a match between what was on the menu and what we could actually order. We ordered olives & sun dried tomatoes £4.50 and received the smallest bowl of olives & tomatoes I have ever seen. Food was timely but the chicken with tarragon was just a slab of tasteless tough chicken, pink in the middle with some tarragon sprinkled on the top. Could not wait to leave. To add to insult to injury we got a parking fine £60. Apparently we parked in an area reserved for the marina. Should have been more careful I guess but be warned. I hope they can turn this around as the venue & location are great but service, menu availability and food quality need to improve.

Could have been nice but really disappointing. No music playing so atmosphere was very flat. Staff in general were pretty disinterested in customers and I had to wait for their conversation to end before being able to order. Bar staff didn’t process our order correctly so we received our food at separate times when we wanted everything together. The ‘crispy’ cauliflower wasn’t crispy (was actually pretty soft and soggy) and the the bun on the hot dog was stale and dry. Wouldn’t recommend or return.
