Beautiful , well looked after forest. Amazing views, even in the murky rain. Brilliant visitor centre, which was open with a kiosk even in the cold and wet on a Sunday. The lady on the counter was very friendly

This is busy place with good coffee and home made cakes and sandwiches. Well maintained, toilet, parking and picnic tables. All surrounded by forest. Something amazing

Toilets areas clean and tidy, but nothing else open. Had good walk, despite weather doing its best to ruin it. Decent views, shall return when better conditions

My review is more of the whole experience of the park. Visited for the first time today. I think it was probably the very best day of the year to visit, relatively quiet, just a handful of fellow dog walkers, and perfect weather. Who knew such a stunning location, was virtually on my doorstep, I actually am reluctant to recommend as selfishly I would hate to see ‘Everyone and their dog visiting’.Ticks every box for the family / dog country walk day out.Views are spectacular, trails well maintained and parking plentiful. The pooches and I can’t wait to return, it was well worth the drive. I’m only guessing but would imagine on a good weather weekend it may be a little busy.

A lovely country park, ideal for most abilities as the paths are gravel, there are different trails with sculptures and beautiful views all round. Parking free at most points around the part and the visitor centre is £1 so that’s nothing. Well worth a visit for a leg stretch and some fresh air.

Lovely well marked walks and views, and a really nice playground too but the centre itself is closed, run down and generally shabby and uncared for! There were plenty of signs to get to it but none mentioned there were no facilities once you were there. At least it was only £1 to park there all day but even that was tricky as only one machine was working for card payments otherwise it was an app or telephone call and the other one was well hidden from the bottom car park. We enjoyed our walk though, the woodlands are beautiful .

Absolutely fantastic place to visit and to start your journeys into the small but delightful country park! Steve from Lancashire council was very helpful, as were the two kindly women who man" the cafe. Toilets were clean. Picnic tables were plentiful. Everyone was having fun. They have free parking a little further down the road (Starling Park is free and about 100m further). Even at the centre

Great spot to walk the dogs. Parking is £1 or free if you turn right just before the visitor into sheepfold car park.
