Mel is an amazing singing teacher! After just 3 lessons I can sing notes I never thought I could with the resistance and strength I never thought I had! She gives you amazing techniques to work on exactly what you need to improve and makes you feel comfortable every step of the way! She's fun, knowledgeable and passionate! Thanks Mel!

I've had Singing Lessons with Mel for 2 years. Over that time my Confidence has increased immensely, along side a greater understanding of not only the mechanics of Singing but also an understanding of Performance Anxiety (something that I had struggled with for a long time) . I have been having singing lessons with Mel for the past 4 years and in that time she has helped me to prepare for my undergraduate musical theatre audition in which I was successful. I found Mel's extensive knowledge on vocal health particularly helpful as vocal tension was something I struggled with when I first met her. She has helped me massively with my vocal and performance confidence. I like how she explains the function of my voice so that I can understand how using certain exercises can help me to develop effective vocal technique. Overall 10/10 - best teacher ever!

I have had around 5 singing lessons over Skype during the various lockdowns, and I've been thoroughly enjoying them. I and others around me have noticed a big difference in my voice, - it sound much stronger, cleaner and smoother. I am also more confident to sing in front of others. I didn't know what to expect initially, but I'm so glad I got out of my own way to just do it. Mel is down to earth and easy going which means a lesson isn't one full of anxiety; in fact there is usually much laughter, which helps take away any nerves I may have initially been feeling. I would recommend Mel, she is such an amazing and supportive teacher.In the Covid time, being a single kid, my daughter needed support and motivation. Mel has always supported her and gave her all the personal attention that she needed the most at that time and has really helped build up her confidence. I can't thank her enough.She is fun and full of energy. She plans her lessons and has a clear vision of how to improve my daughter's singing.

I have been having coaching from Mel for a while now and the difference it has made to my voice has been amazing. My range has improved and my tone has also taken a massive leap.I would say that one of the keys to my improvement is that I now have the confidence to develop my own style. And this is solely down to Mels teaching style . Her studio is a safe place and there’s no need to feel self conscious , so you can relax and let the music out.

I decided to take regular private classes with Mel after a few one to one sessions. Mel is very enthusiastic and passionate about what she does and she really goes out her way to understand her students and to help them achieve their vocal and performance goals. I took 4 sessions with Melissa to work on tentions in my jaw and neck. She made me feel very comfortable and talked me through her treatment whilst giving me the liberty to indicate what felt useful and what didn't. This way of working makes her uncover problematic points at a very good pace. After each session she gave me great exercises to perform myself to continue my own treatment without any risks. Ever since my massages I've felt more liberty whilst singing and more aware of my voice in general. Thanks a lot for the great work!

I’ve had a vocal massage with Mel and noticed major differences afterwards such as not using my mouthguard for several weeks as I wasn’t grinding my teeth as often. Mel provided a safe space and was gentle and respectful throughout - Highly recommended!
