Castle View B&B Morvern

We had an amazing two day stay in with Iain and Tom in June. Best B & B we've ever stayed in. The room was really comfortable with lots of little luxuries, and Iain cooked us a delicious dinner on both evenings. Breakfast was also amazing - home made bread, fresh squeezed orange juice and lots of choices for people who don't eat meat. We will definitely be back!

Castle View is one of the best, if not the best, B&B we’ve stayed at.Iain, Tom and Whiskey were wonderful hosts. Everything was well thought and decorated with so much love.The room was very clean and from the room we enjoyed the nice sea view, a fresh bouquet of tulips, storage under the bed in which we could store our suitcases and bags. There was also homemade shortbread, a fully stocked mini fridge, a coffee machine and a kettle with a nice selection of coffees and teas. The bed was very soft and the sheets smelled heavenly.In the evening, Iain prepared us a very tasty home-cooked meal. We enjoyed the BEST tomato soup we’ve ever tasted served with a lovely homemade bread. We were very happy to have chosen to eat in as we’ve had one of the best meals in Scotland so far.As for the breakfast, there was a nice selection of fresh fruits, jogurt, homemade croissants, different sorts of bread and juices.We’re looking forward to coming back and can’t recommend this place enough!

We only stayed at Castle View for one night but this is a brilliant B&B. Beautiful view from our room. Lots of little touches which made it a special stay. The hosts were fantastic, they had thought of everything and were so welcoming! This was also the best breakfast of our two week honeymoon, just perfect! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Amazing place to stay!Excellent location and view, very clean rooms, Wonderful service, hosts (Iian, Tom and Whiskey) are very friendly and helpful, Iian cooks the food which I suggest everyone to try it.The B&B is one minute away from the Ferry to Isle of Mull.

First experience of a BnB and everything was first class. The host Ian was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a delight, comfortable bed, excellent shower / bathroom, incredible view and the homemade shortbread was a great touch.The dinner that was prepared was delicious and the whole ambiance and set up was spot on. Breakfast was equally as good, locally sourced, perfectly cooked.Will definitely be back, thanks again!

What a wonderful hidden gem of a B&B! Iain and Tom put every possible thought into making my brief stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. The room was spotless with loads of attention to detail - a sumptuous and soft bed with beautiful bed linen, homemade shortbread, complimentary drinks, a range of tea, fresh coffee, even an ice bucket with ice and chocolate by the pillow. I opted to have a 2 course evening meal, made from fresh by Iain - a trained chef - and delicious, offered up with a glass of great wine then a slab of fabulous lemon cake to take back to my room! I was leaving early to get the first ferry but Iain was up before me baking fresh croissant and putting on a spread of fresh fruit and yoghurt. Thoughtful, friendly, welcoming, homely, cosy - what's not to love about this first class B&B!

Five star foodAs a real foodie I was so impressed with the meal that we had on our first night. It was in fact, better than the meal we had at a very famous local restaurant on the second night of our stay. Plus the two breakfasts that we had were comparable with that provided in any five star hotel. This wasn't surprising as one of our hosts had in fact worked in such establishments in his 'other life'. I also loved all the added little extras that we found in our room. I won't spoil the surprise by telling you. Just visit there and see for yourself the incredible attention to detail. Every aspect of the accommodation was excellent and the boys and Whisky were great hosts. Go visit, but try to do so when the Corran ferry is working!!

I received such a warm welcome on arrival and such great hospitality during my stay. The food was home cooked and excellent. My room was very well stocked with everything I could wish for and more, it even had a coffee pod machine which was great. I felt like one of the family by the time I came to leave.I would recommend Castle View to anyone who needs to stay in this area. The views to the Castle and the Isle of Mull were amazing too.

Hands down best B&B I’ve ever stayed in. From the amazing views to the incredible attention to detail to the charming hosts, it’s the perfect place. Absolutely book a home-cooked evening meal with Iain at least once during your stay - it’s excellent food and drink, presented to fine dining standards, at really affordable prices. Great and generous breakfasts - cooked/continental/cereals all with delicious local produce. Shoutout to Whisky and Fergus, the superb canine and feline welcome committee! Lochaline itself is well worth a longer stay too!
