Ian did our August 2023 wedding at Traquair House and he was amazing. He built a great rapport with us and our guests and his pictures really show how much fun we all had. I really appreciated how he made sure to get some lovely pics of our friends and family because they all looked fantastic (and they were up for a wee pose)!Please give Ian a call if you need a super-skilled and lovely person to capture something great, we loved him!

Ian’s flexibility, thoughtfulness & craft are unmatched. He helped me capture my proposal at Traquair House and was so accommodating to all of my requests. He was familiar with the location and was very helpful with choosing the best place to capture the moment. Myself and my fiancé were overwhelmed with emotion & he did a great job talking us through the engagement photo-shoot and the results were everything we could have asked for. There is nobody else I would recommend in the Scottish borders. I hope our paths cross again!

Ian is an absolutely AMAZING photographer. On our wedding day, he was so relaxed and so much fun to work with. He was unobtrusive and never in the way, he somehow magically managed to capture all moments of the best day of our lives exactly how we wanted. He makes you feel at ease the entire time while he. captures the most amazing shots—-both unique and natural. We were speechless when we got them. We can’t believe how well all photos turned out! We cannot recommend Ian highly enough. We knew he was a fantastic photographer but what he produced for our wedding exceeded our expectations completely. His approach is relaxed and fun, which results in exceptionally natural images with everyone beaming and looking sensational. 2020 has been like no other year, and Ian’s flexible and steady approach helped us efficiently manage the multiple changes that were required. We had such a good time with Ian that we are looking forward to him capturing our anniversary celebration with all our initial guests who couldn’t attend in 2020.

We are from America and arranged our wedding completely blind and did we get lucky in everyone we hired and every arrangement we made. Ian was the absolute best man for the job. He captured every important aspect of our day; things we didn't even think to take a picture of Ian was there with the photo already snapped. ALL of our photos turned out amazing! Not to mention his turn around time (everyone was amazed at how quickly we received our photos). I would without a doubt recommend Ian to anyone and everyone! He made our entire experience relaxing and fun!

Amazing. We had a blast of a day very laid back and chill with many laughs. Ian is amazing. It’s too bad someone gave him a one star to make the overall rating less the. 5.0 stars. But 100% should be a 5.0 star. Even got our pictures back SO quick. We hope to see you again. Come to Canada :)!
