Barn Hill Pond

The only pond with Fish, great for relaxation.

Lovely hillside. Lovely views. Nice pond. When I went to Barn Hill Pond, I was shocked that the dogs were swimming in the pond!

Love walking my dogs there! They have freedom and big space to run around happily! Many other dog owners are using this park/forest and it is uplifting to have a community of doggies and nice people to meet daily!

Even though when it rains, it is very muddy and messy, it's still a beautiful green place with a lovely pond and a vast variety of wildlife, especially birds. You can walk your dog here, you can do an off-road run, or you can enjoy a nice stroll. Definitely worth visiting!

Boring! Maybe better at other times of year... but I was definitely expecting more. It's just a brown pond surrounded by mud. Really nothing much to see there.

V ñice place to go to clear your mind on a sunny day

It's a pond on top of a hill, which gets smaller depending on how hot and dry the summer is. It has been known to have sightings of its own grey heron, mallards on occasion, etc. Fish may lurk in its depths, and frogspawn in the spring. There are views of Wembley, and across to central London from the trig point nearby, and aspirations to open up the view to Harrow-on-the-Hill. Take a little wander and you may spy St Paul's Cathedral. A small number of benches are available, and the bins overflow in fine weather. There's nothing but green space and houses nearby. It's accessible via a fairly short, steep uphill walk on uneven ground from the unserviced car park, which can get very busy; or from Wembley Park.
