I recently had the opportunity to visit this restaurant, and I must say that my overall experience was quite disappointing. The restaurant had a dark interior, which created an ambiance that could have been cozy if executed properly. However, the lackluster service due to communication issues quickly became a hindrance to our dining experience. On the positive side, the food arrived in a timely manner. However, the quality and taste were far from satisfactory. The Aloo Tikki, which is typically a delightful potato patty, turned out to be a letdown as it contained only a paste made from peas. The Chicken Tak-a-Tak, touted as one of the restaurant's specialties, was an abomination. The flavors were off, and the dish lacked the authentic taste that one would expect. The Lamb Rogan Josh, while edible, had an excessive use of experimental spices that seemed to overpower the dish. It felt as though the chef was attempting to create a unique twist, but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The Pilao rice was tasteless, which was disappointing considering that it should have been a flavorful accompaniment to the main dishes. The worst part of the dining experience was the naan bread. It seemed as if it had been brought straight from a superstore shelf. The naan was hard to chew and lacked the soft and fluffy texture that is characteristic of this popular Indian bread. This was a major letdown as naan is usually a highlight of any Indian meal.To make matters worse, the overall cost of the meal was £52, which felt quite expensive considering the poor quality of the food and the disappointing dining experience we had. Additionally, the restaurant's hygiene standards left much to be desired. The corridor leading to the restroom had an unpleasant smell, and to our dismay, there were no paper towels or hand dryers available. This lack of basic amenities came across as unprofessional and left a negative impression.

I was looking forward to a family meet up and enjoy an Indian meal with them and was invited to this restaurant. Initially, your overwhelmed by the size of the place and the atmosphere was great being a Saturday evening. Plenty of staff to help settle and serve our needs. The food was good and we all enjoyed the flavours etc, but... the pickles selection we had with the poppadoms was miniscule, intact one scoop of the fork would empty the very small pot. The onion bajees were small too, nice flavour but not enough. The rest of the meal was very good. The bill for four of us was £200 which I thought was a bit expensive for what we had. Worth a try but be warned..

Quite busy for a Monday night so there was a nice atmosphere. Curry was great and the peshwari naan was good in particular.

Worst management and rules. We tried to order for two person which was clearly mentioned for two person price and then the manager came to us and saying no you can’t order this as it requires more people and have to order it per person which is ridiculous. And then giving excuse how they will make profit. So it’s not customer concern whether the restaurant will make profit or not only the customer want is good food and good price. And the taste of biriyani was not even 5% of authentic biriyani. As I come from the place of biriyani I have a clear idea of taste

Difficult one to score on the food front. Three stars is possibly slightly too low but four stars would be too high based on my dining experience. We ordered poppadoms for starters, which are advertised with dips. In other Indian restaurants I've eaten in poppadoms have always been served with at least three dips; we were given two smallish pots of mango chutney and a hot and sour, no mint or cucumber dips offered. My starter of Delhi calamari was advertised as masala coated with honey and cooked and served with a chilli dip. Couldn't taste any evidence of the masala or honey and the chilli was sriracha, so not Indian unfortunately. My partner had the hot stuffed chillies which the menu gave a three chilli rating (ie hot), but couldn't have been less fiery if they tried. It did improve after this - both of our main courses (North Bengali fruity chicken & chicken Lababdar) came with unique sauces, the chicken was succulent and tender, and combined with our coconut rices helped make up for the underwhelming starters. The Peshwari naan bread was exceptional, a far cry from the stodge that can be served up elsewhere. The service was attentive, and even on a busy Saturday evening we were in and out in roughly an hour. Two starters, two mains and two 660ml beers (Kingfisher) cost slightly over £85, which included a 10% service charge.Had we not had the poppadoms & starters then the food score would have been a five.

I bought a chicken dhansak with pilau rice, takeaway. The dish was delicious. It cost £18. I was very disappointed with the portion of rice. As you can see from the photo, it's only half full. A message to you all. Stop ripping off your customers. I'll make my own rice from now on.

The food was delicious, especially bhindi. The dosa was good, but I was not fond of the chutney: a friendly atmosphere and fast customer service. The price seems to be a bit higher. When I ordered through Deliveroo a second time, the Bhindi came lesser than half dabba, Which was not good customer service as you pay extra asking for the main portion. When I contacted the restaurant about it, they said Deliveroo drivers eat food which was not a nice thing to say. Instead, they should give full portions than blaming it on someone else.
