A nice landlord & his son on the bar, both very friendly & a lovely pint of real ale..I ran my own pub for 33 years..regards Mark Ex Para.

Foods always been lovely. Never had a complaint about it. Good protion sizes too. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Willing to amend/adjust food for u if needed. My pnly problem is the doorway isn't wheelchair friendly as it is very narrow and has a step to get in through both the front and side doors. (Its a very old building) But once in its all on a level. A lovely fruendly old pub.

Four of us visited for the first time. All of us were very impressed with the welcome and service we had.The food was served very nicely presented and was fresh and superb and very good value couldn't recommend enough and would definitely return again thank you for a lovely evening

Both roasts we ordered were generously sized and good value for money. I would have liked a Yorkshire pudding with my chicken roast however it wasn't to be. The potatoes were cooked to perfection as was the mash included. The fireplace was great especially on a day that had snowed so it gave off a very comforting and warm feel. Service was good as well

Visited today for lunch. We had the mixed grill. Cooked really well thanks to the chef. .. great pub friendly staff really helpful too. Will definitely be going back. Thanks

Friendly and helpful staff. Decent lunch menu. The food was very tasty and it was no trouble to tweak a dish.Would go again.

Really lovely staff. Cheerful and nothing too much trouble. Enjoyed our meal. Food was good and the pub was warm and not crowded. Worth a visit.
