This place is literally a Gem. Never been here before and went for the Sunday carvery with family. Never have I ever been beaten by my food but I had to leave a Yorkie lol. The dinner sizes are absolutely without a doubt well worth the money and the trip down there. Will recommend to friend and family 100%.Thankyou to the amazing staff and will hopefully see you again very soon.

It was a really pleasant place, it is previously known as the Riverside tavern but it has changed to the boat Inn. There was really friendly staff there which were really polite. Definitely as I asked a few different questions they were able to help out!The food was hit, miss and a hit. The appetiser, garlic mushrooms were honestly incredibly tasty and gave me a craving for a second round. The vegan hamburger in my opinion was not tasty, very dry and not so good. However I think with vegan meat dishes is always a hit or miss, in this case it was a miss. The dessert did save it though and I would have a perfect 3 meal dish for £14. I definitely felt I got value for my money and the pints there were not too expensive either.They have a really nice outdoor space and great indoor place as well. There was also designated outdoor speakers and the music they played was top hits or previously top hits which I thought was very nice and trendy. Very nearly set up with even designer candles! Small details like that make a place.

We had a table of 12 dinner booking last night, it was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress Sheila was amazing, very friendly, efficient & great service. The food was soooo soooo nice, every single starter and main course was delicious. I am very fussy so asked them to make me a halloumi burger which wasn’t on the menu and it was so yummy! Lovely outdoor seating for warmer weather looking over the water and boats. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Best place I’ve been too! The customer service is brilliant, the staff are so lovely.The food they provided at my uncles wedding was fantastic I couldn’t find a fault. Me and my family will definitely be coming back a lot more :)

My best friend took me here as a surprise for my birthday. I was not disappointed! The best carvery I’ve ever had, staff were so friendly and the food was delicious! Would 100% recommend and will be coming back very soon!

Had a Christmas lunch today at the Boathouse. It was absolutely lovely. Great service, really hot food served with a smile and very swiftly done. The staff, although busy we're so nice and friendly.

A little random date night for me & my partner, he's been going on for ages about coming here again since being redone! Wow a absolute amazing place to visit, amazing food, polite/friendly staff. Just all in all brilliant.Thank you all so much ❤️

We had a lovely evening(table of 5).We had the Christmas menu and we wasn't disappointed. Great food , excellent service and super atmosphere.And beautifully decorated for Christmas. Thanks for a good night

Great as usual. Took my elderly parents there for lunch on Sunday. Very nice, reasonably priced food, the staff are great, the manageress is a star. Very clean and well looked after. Would recommend.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience here. We booked our table for carvery at 5pm as that’s when our kids eat. After waiting 30 minutes and still not being called up to get our food we asked why we was still waiting? To be told that they are sending each table up one by one (with periods of time that the carvery area had no one getting their food for over 5 minutes, there was always a staff member manning the carvery table so no idea why it was constantly left for no one to get their food. The food is up there cooked and people are waiting hungry) the kids started to get upset and we had to leave after 30 minutes of waiting with no food. Extremely disappointing and makes zero sense at all, the whole point of a carvery is that you book a time and pretty much go straight up to get your food - this is why most people book a carvery. Never heard anything like it before. Also was told that if tables are late to show then it delays everyone from collecting which is also extremely frustrating when you’re on time. The whole process is flawed and we won’t be returning. EDIT (in response to the boat houses reply) I believe your staff members haven’t been honest as we wasn’t once told we was next in the “queue” when we ended up saying unfortunately we will have to pay for our drinks and leave it was a simple oh ok no problem. If we was told we was next we probably would of waited. Not once was we informed there was a longer than usual wait time as it should of been so we had the option to maybe order a starter to keep the kids happy whilst they waited. No one explained anything and by 5:30pm I had to ask myself what was going on
