Lydeard Hill Car Park

Great free moderate sized car park surrounded by beautiful nature and views - perfect for getting away from the hustle & bustle and finding some head space. A group of us loved walking here with our kids, nice gentle hills, trees to climb and also a few rope swings close by :)

Love it there. Perfect walks and fab scenery with my faithful companion Rocky. Gets very busy in car park at weekends.

What can you say lovely rural carpark which is accessed through country roads. It allows access for you to walk across the beautiful quantocks

Great starting point for walks and riding across the Quantock's. Free car park accessed up a single track lane.There is some parking at the bottom of the lane. Spectacular views with left to right Wellington Memorial , Willet Hill and Exmoor. Styles Ice cream van here at the weekends so a cold drink and ice cream reward at the end of your walk.No BBQ's due to a heightened fire risk when it's dryTop Tip 1. Be prepared for the weather to change quickly especially in the Spring / Autumn.Top Tip 2. Weekends are especially busy with parking spaces at a premium.Get there early. Holiday times and half terms are also busy.Top Tip 3. Bring your binoculars and spot a buzzard

Good sized car park, popular with dog walkers. Can imagine it gets busy on weekends and in the summer. Lovely spot for walks

A perfectly good car park high on the hill with great views - a narrow access lane leads up to it with only a couple of passing places.Nearly always busy but hardly ever overcrowded.

It's a good car park with regards position but the last quarter mile of pot-holed road to it is very narrow with low overhanging branches. If you are in a larger vehicle like my campervan it would be best to stop at the junction before the car park where there is a gravel area and walk from there.

Some great walks and views from this car park which is up a narrow lane at the top of West Bagborough Village. Lots of good tracks for cyclists as well.

It has got a decent amount of parking space but the lane going up to it is very narrow and leaves little to no space to pull in.
