This is the first time we have used APC Home Improvements and I can’t recommend them highly enough! When we first got our quote online, I thought it was too good to be true. But this was the price that was given even after the guys came out to inspect the work. Philip, David, Rhys, and the rest of the guys were great. The work was completed really quickly and to an excellent standard. I would 100% use them again.

We used APC Home Improvements to replace our conservatory roof with a tiled and insulated roof. From the first contact until completion of the job Philip and the team could not be more helpful. They showed up when the said they would, worked quickly and cleanly and got the job finished within the agreed time frame. The team who carried out the installation were all polite and friendly. We would happily recommend this company to anyone looking to get a similar job done on their property.

Philip and his team recently carried out a garage conversion for us. They also knocked down a wall into our existing house from the garage. We really couldn’t fault them. Him and the team were extremely professional and really hard workers. Our garage conversion from the outside matches the rest of the house seamlessly. They consulted us through various steps along the way. Work was completed very quickly but to a high standard and they were extremely reasonable pricing wise.

Like most people, my partner and I had a conservatory built then realised that it was roasting hot in the summer and akin to an ice box in the winter. As my partner has worked from home for many years and has used part of the conservatory as her office, she is the one who has had to endure the extremes of temperatures. With the recent hike in heating costs and the cost of living crisis, we decided that we needed to do something drastic to make my partners office space usable all year round as well as trying to drastically reduce our energy consumption and carbon emissions. Having searched around to find a suitable company who actually listened to what we wanted rather than what they wanted to sell us, we thankfully found Philip from APC Home Improvements. From the moment he arrived in our house to talk through our requirements, it felt more like having a friend round for a chat than a sales pitch. Philip doesn’t do hard sell and really listened to what we wanted and worked within our budget. We even asked to go and see one of his recent conversions and Philip arranged for us to meet one of his customers who gave him and his team a glowing report on the work they had carried out. Given that my partner and I have a large conservatory with a 24 square metre footprint, we expected to be told that the conversion would take a few weeks to complete. Philip quoted 7 to 10 days and finished it in 7 days. His team of guys are an absolute dream to have around the house. They are all friendly and professional guys who arrived on time every morning at 8am sharp and worked all day with a short break for a well deserved lunch. During one of the hottest days in Scotland this week where the inside of our conservatory would have easily reached a very unpleasant 40 degrees centigrade, with the fully insulated roof on it was a pleasant and comfortable 20 degrees centigrade inside. Having reviewed my pattern of energy consumption of electricity over the last 3 years, I’m very confident that this conversion will now save me around £1000 in heating costs during the winter months. Not an amount of money to be sniffed at when we are all feeling the pinch of spiralling energy and living costs. The photos I have posted for this review will give an indication of the quality of workmanship that Philip’s team delivered. I’m so pleased with the work that would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Philip and his team to others looking to get their conservatory converted into a year round useable and energy efficient living space.
