Food poor,Beer 1 great beer 2 average,Service poor,Customer service worse stillHad to get manager" involved due to beer glasses not clean. The mgr looked at glasses and said they should be ok but offered a half as a goodwill gesture. Clearly we weren't convinced but the mgr knew best.on leaving to get us a half I enquired if she knew what beer she was getting which she took offence - poor excuse for copping out of terrible customer relations. The half arrived 10mins later.Food was 40mins to arrive which we were not warned about

Great location by the canal, we visited on Friday night for a meal for two. The server seemed very busy but was helpful and friendly and offered table service to us. The pub was busy and quite loud but had a good atmosphere. Good came out quickly, portions were reasonable. The chili was very hot with a jalapeno sting to it. I'd recommend the beef stroganoff. We shared the cheesecake, not the largest portion but very good. Overall we'd go back again.

It is a nice pub in a nice setting right by the canal. We ate inside in the dog friendly area and while nice it was right in a high traffic area next to the toilet so puppy was hard to settle but we managed. The food was tasty and great value for money. Halloumi to start with a very sweet and tangy dip, fish and chips followed and it was a generous portion with a light tasty batter with meaty fish.Good pub, will visit again.

always liked the location. drinks are always good. food and presentation awful. two cold burgers and chips on a baking tray for the best part of thirty quid. couldn't be bothered to complain as I had already payed and we had waited an age for the food to arrive. won't be eating there again. just giving everyone else the heads up...

My first time here and it was great. Fast service, nice staff and the food was great. Add to that good prices made it a lovely Sunday dinner at a gorgeous location.

We went to this pub after having a walk down the canal from bratch locks. Have driven past this pub plenty of times, but never had the chance to try it out. We got there about 1430, Dog friendly pub with plenty of outdoor seating and a little play area for children. We only ordered two alcoholic drinks costing around £8 which isn’t too bad. Only place that I’m aware of, around here that have Red Stripe on tap. However, once we got our drinks and left the bar waiting to go downstairs to the outdoor area, a group of teens / young twenties males & females, brazenly, pulled out their bag of cocaine with no shame in hiding it. Quite a reasonable amount of young families with their children present inside & out, for the children to come across a bag on the floor and mistake it for sometime else would be bad. Few questionable sort of people in the pub, which makes you wonder; are they taking drugs as well. Overall, not too ‘bad’, would score higher, apart from the people taking drugs (each to their own if you want to take drugs, but do it somewhere not in public). Hope management pick up on this and sort it out.

Sunday lunches are horrific. Probably one of the worst I've ever seen. Roast potatoes warm and shriveled, Yorkshire pudding was burnt, pork was tough. Couldn't believe what I was served. My missis had the lasange and she said it was okay. Nothing special. We were asked like 6 times if everything was ok with our meal, just wanted to be left alone, didn't tell them about the state of the food as we had already paid. Plus points, it's a historic pub with plenty of history and if you are popping in for a quiet pint, it's perfect. If you got kids, there's a playground for them to play in, I will come back, but not to eat there.

Stopped off for a drink with children, great park, lovely lighting. Nice barman called James. We did not eat here so cannot comment on the menu. It seems to be a young crowd that is attracted to here, but the park is so great I would come again with the family.

Another superb refurb that is in a class of it's own. It's an amazing place, amazing staff and amazing food. Best thing for us is they allow dogs and they are warmly welcomed every time. Thoroughly recommend whether a regular visit, book your party or events they hold. A+++

Superb. The homemade lasagne was brilliant. Guest ales very good too. The whole rear area has been marqueed and has great music playing quietly in the background. Planned on going for an hour or so, ended up staying for over 3 hours. Smashing pub.
