Cayo Farm

As long as you are not expecting a toilet and shower block, this campsite is great for the views and John's positive attitude

Friendly, relaxed & spacious. A river runs along the tree-lined field & you can have a campfire.

Didn't actually stay, but the owner was lovely and very knowledgeable of the area. Camp site looked beautiful and along with my wife and children, I would very much like to stay another time. Views from the adjoining fields also spectacular.

John is the most amazing host you could ask for, anything you need he is always willing to help. The campsite facilities are spotless. Great area for the children to play and plenty of walking trails to explore. We will be coming back

Out of the way wild camping in a beautiful setting just below Offa's Dyke. Well worth the walk up the hill and down to Llantony Priory on the other side! Site itself is spacious, very well kept and generally peaceful. Facilities are 4 portaloos and a single standpipe, so don't go expecting showers and washing up facilities - it's wild camping on a farm - but the loos are very clean and regularly maintained by John, who's a proper character and very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit!

John is so helpful if you have any questions or problems you only need to text him and ask, and he will try to help. Above and beyond his services is.We had a caravan and the pitch we had was lovely and a good size.We went for the weekend mid-May, and it was quiet, but we still had a far few people on site for the weekend. Everyone kept to the rules, which makes it enjoyable for everyone.Dog are welcome and there is a field behind you can use to let them play if it's busy but if it's quite John doesn't mid them playing by your pitch as long as they are friendly and don't mess or interfere with anyone else.There are portaloos on site, and while we were there, they were kept clean, but as lo g as people use them the way they would at home, it would be use able and clean for everyone.There is natural spring water from a tape to use, and it tastes good, and it's cold just what you need on a hot day or after a long walk.I will be going back again, and I would recommend it caravan tent motorhome or to glamp its a place to stay.There is a spring around there, and it's lovely to go down. The kids were loving it that was at one of the pitches. John has put light around some trees to help make the place look and feel special.My photos were taken at the end of a Sunday when everyone had left apart from us so I hope it still gives you an idea of what it's like.

Great camp site. Park up, plop your tent next to it, and if you need there are porterloos.No running water or shower facility, but there is a stream.Quite a range of different people with tents, some seem pretty big, others have just stand tents and others have like the minivan ones.Well distances between people.

Our stay at the cayo farm was absolutely amazing...John was excellent in welcoming us and made us feel very at ease. The hygiene is 5 stars and the lay out is very tranquil, I recommend this place to anyone. We will visit again.Thank you Cayo farmFrom Andrew Nyendwa
