I have bought off this chap several times over recent years. Firewood and also timber for various projects I've done. Always walked away happy with what I've picked up and cant fault the guy.

Do not order from Logsnstuff.Bought 2 bulk bags (one hardwood one softwood). None of the logs would burn. I tried about 10 logs and each time the fire went out. I contacted Steve and was basically told I don't know how to burn wood. I have never experienced this problem with other wood and my moisture meter is showing the wood is greater than 25% moisture.I was disappointed in the delivery as came home one night 2 months after ordering the wood to find they had been delivered. Instead of being able to get them stored my my garage I had to hand ball 2 bags in the wood store in the dark before the rain was forecasted the next day.However, the biggest reason for the negative review was that the wood was not fit for purpose and the response from Steve was very defensive and unhelpful. I offered to handball them back into bags to return them, but was told I'd pay £40 for the pleasure. Now stuck with 2 bags of wood and £250 poorer. I've been advised by reputable suppliers to go to only use companies that have drying floors (Murthly Sawmill, RTS or Tayside Forestry - deliver to Perth).

Would buy from them again. Good communication and delivery was exactly where I wanted. Price was fine and logs were nicely seasoned so burn really well in my stoves.

I’ve used them a few times, & although expensive £125 for 0.7sqm, quality was generally good. This last delivery had however been mixed with old, rotten wood, which had the lightness of cork & will burn as quickly as paper. I emailed asking for some hard wood to “top-up” what I’d already had, but they never even acknowledged it. Very poor quality & service this time.Was the bag ok? You replied stating it was ok, with no verification. The email was sent Thursday lunchtime, just after delivery. The review was posted 2 days later. I tried to call, nobody answered. You stated I posted the review on Saturday when most businesses don’t open until Monday. As I stated, I emailed Thursday (when most businesses are open), then posted the review 2 days later after no response. You then decided to respond only after the review was posted. As per the email (below), I gave you time to respond before posting any reviews.I have received quite good timber from you before, this was not good. Please don’t be so defensive & aggressive with your response; try in future to mitigate and not assume you are right and your customer is wrong. “Nonsense post”? That’s not a good response, to a previously good customer.Original email:Hello Steven.I wanted to write to let you know how disappointed I am with the quality of the logs in this morning’s delivery. Usually the quality is excellent, which is why I’ve bought from you a few times. However much of the wood this time, maybe 30% was very poor, clearly old wood that had rotted, then dried, being very lightweight with the consistency of cork and the burning property of paper. Not your usual standard.I wanted to write to see if you are prepared to “top-up” with some decent wood before I write any reviews.Many thanks.

I would 110% recommend, really helpful. Listened to what we wanted, searched about to show us some possible pieces and when we found the right one they took time, effort and care to cut it as needed. Delivered it too. GREAT Value for money. Thank you.
