Cromwell Removals

Have read the other reviews and actually it looks like this quite recurring with cromwell. Made an appointment for a tuesday and someone called James came in - and looked around, and i was told to expect a quote the next day. 2 days later still nothing and i called and inquired, and James said he will check with head office, still nothing. I called again on the friday, twice my call was diverted to voicemail on 3 rings...and got no call backs. Today is monday and still no quotes. Beware, this doesn't look like a professional company at all - with hindsight, now i should have had some warnings...James left no cards or paperwork on visiting (every other removal company did), and also as he went round the house, took no notes, but it was just...yeah this is fine

Booked appointment to quote for big house removal, despite arranging this and waiting in for you, you failed to turn up! No phone call, no apology and still no contact from you.Are you the busy you can simply annoy people this much!

I had a great day moving with this firm. I would like to thank James and all the lads that helped. There were five of them at one point. I had only expected three so they had to have there tea in relays because I hadn't kept enough cups unpacked. Thanks to Linda too. She packed my glass and china very well and very quickly. James and his guys did a fantastic job moving us on a very hot day! They were patient when the estate agent (WHB) gave us the wrong keys!No breakages and a good furniture dismantle and rebuild service.

I have used this removal company several times in the last 8 years and I have always been delighted to see that they care so much about the job they are doing. Communication can sometimes be a little slow but when James says he has you booked in he means it! Every move I have made they have been on time, worked hard and got the job done earlier than expected at a very good price - I highly recommend this great team of family friendly, helpful, keen to help removal guys!

Arranged for Cromwells to come out and quote twice and they stood me up both times, no explaination offered and they were uncontactable on both occasions. Don't waste your time!

Had a quotation appointment booked for noon today, and no one turned. When I spoke to James the owner half an hour later he informed me that the appointment was a one hour slot -(this was not explained to me when booking), and the appointed person would be there by 1pm. Again no one turned up, and several phone calls and messages remain unanswered. How rude, unprofessional and unreliable.

Dreadful service, things not packed properly and quoted a price but ended up paying nearly twice as much as they outsourced removals as they said they couldn’t do it for the price they originally quoted!! Do not use them

I've been meaning to do this since June. We did a long distance move feom Stow Longa to Scotland. The Cromwell team delivered in every way. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you.

Brilliant service from James and his team (and family). We urgently needed to move 200 miles at less than 2 weeks notice. James was the only one who would pencil us in as he had a gap - a competitor said they had the slot then let it go for a bigger client. Pricing was good and, in the previous 12 home moves we've done, I've never seen movers so careful not to cause any scrapes on the wall - not easy in a 3-storey house that had just been decorated! What really made the difference was the spirit of the team - everyone got stuck in, no moans, gripes or delays. This was a big move, even getting the artic. truck turned round in small country roads to reverse into the new place. We would happily recommend without reservation. I could give lots more examples, but I think the message is clear. These folks get it done, do it well and cheerfully.Thanks again for rescuing us!
