Outrageous service kept being told to be quiet, reading out loud is prohibited!?! Poor selection of picture books especially those of an adult nature. NO BALCONY ACCESS! Don’t know why people partitioned to keep this place open! #closethebookman

Not really a good place for studying. There are only a few study desks upstairs and they are scattered between bookshelves, and there isnt plug sockets at every desk. Also the noise from the cafe and staff talking is quite distracting.

A real community asset, how we've missed the library recently. The children's area is cosy and there's always something to fascinate or amuse our young children. All they're missing is a regular story time for children.The cafe serves good coffee and excellent sandwiches while providing valuable opportunities for their trainee staff. With a ground floor so varied, it's easy to forget the calm, quiet reading and studying rooms upstairs. A fantastic place in Hove.

Ideally placed across the road from me. Not only does it have a very friendly staffed café it has all the things you expect from a library. All staff are helpful. Library is always quiet and clean and i use it for printing label's for items i sell online

Stumbled upon this library, beautiful inside, quiet but not silent, full of facilities and a good selection of books. It has a Café Domenica inside where they offer training opportunities to people who aren't always able to access jobs. Sometimes you have to wait a while, but the sandwiches are really lovely and everything is good value.

The children's library is lovely and has a great selection of books. The staff are friendly and helpful so if you can't find what you need they will assist you.There is wheelchair access and Baby changing facility. Although small, the main library with it's beautiful built in shelves offers a variety of books. There is also a little cafe in the library should you be in need of refreshments.Lovely library, lovely staff.

Great place when open. Computer room on the middle floor. Great selection of books. A place for light snacks and coffee. Well trained staff to help when and if necessary. Good for students with a study up stairs. A great place to relax and sit down. Disabled toilet on ground floor. Less busy then the library in central Brighton,but still a good place for everyone. Can't wait for it to reopen again.

I took my 5yr old son here for the first time last week and the whole experience was absolutely lovely. There is a great children's area with an extensive selection of books. The staff were very helpful in re issuing our expired library cards and the service and quality of the food/drinks in the cafe was similarly excellent. We loved the 'help yourself' cucumber and lemon water :) A thoroughly enjoyable visit, we will be back soon.
