Had to make a claim after my dog needed surgery which was handled so quickly and without fuss. They came recommended to me after I had a poor experience with another very well known pet insurance company a couple of years ago. Really happy with them and would recommend to anyone.

Our dog was found to have Cushings disease. This was following ingestion of chocolate. Although the discovery was resultant from the ingestion, it was deemed separate incidents and so I had to pay separate excesses. This was argued to no avail. The claim is also based on submitting invoices and awaiting settlement. I know other insurers will pay the vet directly. Also, annoyingly, for every repeat prescription of medication, I need to submit a further claim form which seems unnecessary as the Cushings is a lifetime condition. I mean the claim is being paid and at £160/month I am grateful of that. I am just concerned how much the renewal premium will be.

I have had pet insurance with you for a number years. This year has been the 1st time I have had to use it.Obviously it was a very stressful time with a poorly dog.4 paws were extremely efficient and liased with my vets to authorise treatments and payments, taking additional stress from me.I have recommended you to friends and family with pets without any hesitation.

I have had a policy with 4paws for 4 years and fortunately have not had to claim previously. My recent claim went through smoothly (although some follow up with my vet was required) and I was extremely happy with the whole service. Hopefully things are sorted for my dog now and this will be my first and last claim but I now feel extra reassured that, should something happen to my dog, I have an excellent policy to fall back on. I recently had to make a claim for my dog and found the experience easy and efficient. My only one very minor issue is that in this day and age to wait 3-5 days for a BACS transfer once the claim had been approved seems a little archaic especially as it was the full 5 days before we received payment. I would definitely recommend 4Paws to friends and family!

Needed to claim for the first time, I opted to download the forms, filled them in and dropped them off at my vets, they did the rest. Had a payment in my bank within 2 weeks. Fast and easy. Highly recommend for pet insurance.

I recently had to make a claim and they’ve been… meh… not as good as my previous experience with another insurer. They really do find any excuse to wriggle out of paying you. They refused to pay for a prescription cost, maintaining they don’t pay for “admin fees”. Unlikely I’ll renew my policy with them at this rate.

Using 4Paws Pet Insurance for over 3 years now, recently made a claim for my dog vet cost following his injury. Claim process was very straightforward, submitted online, had one phone call from 4Paws asking for additional details, but then claim was approved that same day and money paid to my bank account with in next few days. Happy with how 4Paws dealt with the claim, I would recommend to others using them as pet insurance provider. Take care
