Using the overnight truckstop.At 645pm,there should be a better choice of meals for drivers paying £27 to park.2 options,no pies,curries or carvery is poor.Will be checking whats on menue before i stay again.

They do a good breakfast ( bit pricey ) and it is a lorrypark overnight

It was an auction centre. Actually, that said, the food was alright, as well!Would have benefited from a little bit of signposting, I feel, for any new-comers! Haphazardly made my way to the holding pens by following the noise. Pens looked nice enough, and quite roomy. Did the job. Brilliant auctioneer, that did his very best for all of the sellers (he definitely convinced me of a few extra bids in the sheep ring).On this occasion, I did happen to be attending the Rare Breed Sale on 6/10/18, which was put down as the worst that they've ever had for prices (though, that said, I was buying). The prices I'd say were definitely due to the year we've had for crops... Not many have the money, grass or feed to be buying in extra livestock after the way the weather has been, and everyone I spoke to was down a third of their usual feed stores, after feeding through the summer.It's generally agreed that it's usually one of the best sales in the country, and looking at the past sale reports, that definitely appears to be the case! Wouldn't put me off selling there in the future. This is my first foray into rare breeds, and I'd go the extra distance for the turnout the sale has, when I have some lambs in the future.

1st visit and we learn't a lot.1 Take paper and pad to write down the lot numbers you are interested in.2 Ensure you visit all the halls as very spread out.3 If you are looking for certain items that need measurements take a tape measure.4 When you get home register online and this enables you to bid,you can also look at catalogue.5 Know how much the item is new that you are looking at.6 Do not bid too early as other people may be interested and then if you are not careful the bidding on line gets out of control.

This review is from a domestic, not a farm customer. Regular household auctions sell everything from junk to cars. You never quite know what you're going to find. Prices are generally low, especially for York. Probably worth having a look before you bid, as the quality can vary. They are reasonably relaxed about delays in collection. There's plenty of parking. excellent cafe, and the auctioneers tend to be professional and entertaining. A grand day out.

Only visited the cafe +found it very reasonable nice home baked cakes+scotch eggs were excellent

Great friendly staff who were helpful and the food especially the braised steak was spot on. Looking forward to my next night there

The owners are truly awful people. They’ll constantly be looking for people for kitchen work in the cafe because the owners wife makes lives hell, then her husband just sacks people she didn’t like before the end of the 6 months probation. 3 head chefs in less then a year says it all.If you’re looking into the place because the recruiter has approached you I’d just avoid and seek a better employer.Ps. I didn’t work there but know people who have.

Friendly staff. Good for a bargain (usually) Excellent value cafe.

Stayed in the lorry park, nice cafe and all the facilities you could need, good cafe and reasonable prices, meal voucher more than covered the cost of the meal.
