I recently had the pleasure of dining at this local pub, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The highlight of the menu has to be the burgers and Sunday roasts; they were simply mouthwatering and exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere in the pub was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind with friends and family. The cozy ambiance, combined with the pleasant background music, created a relaxing and enjoyable dining environment. What truly sets this pub apart, however, is the staff. The service was top-notch, and the staff members were not only attentive but also friendly and accommodating. Their knowledge of the menu and their willingness to offer recommendations made the dining experience even more delightful.I can't recommend this local pub enough. Whether you're in the mood for a delicious burger, a traditional Sunday roast, or just a great time out, this place has it all. It's a gem in the neighborhood, and I look forward to returning for more exceptional meals and good times.

Very low hygiene standards, they pour the pot water that was on other tables into the one they bring you. Having witnessed this scene, I asked for a bottle of water that arrives open (perhaps decanted). I asked to have a closed bottle to be opened in front of me. I don't make any controversy, the waitress talked about that with the person at the bar (the manager?) who responds very badly to me as a very rude and unprofessional person. Lastly, a hair inside the cake, so we were not wrong with our feeling. They tried to compensate with the bill, but the end result remains terrible.

Decided to get a roast today at the Old Queens head, managed to get seated as we came into the door as other people were leaving so I’d say it’s hit or miss if you don’t book before as they were full. Got a seat right next to the door but the old air didn’t mind us as it was rlly warm in the pub.Food came about 15 mins after ordering, I had the mushroom wellington and my sister had the beef. All round the food was delicious, potatos could have been a little hotter but it was a large portion and I can not recommend the mushroom wellington enough! As for drinks I had half pint of Camden hells. Atmosphere was amazing and the music was great. Staff, especially the women at the door, were also incredibly kind.I would defo recommend this pub for a quick drink or a roast whilst on a cold scroll though Isington!

I went here because it was on Eater’s list of best burgers in London and they had a vegetarian option. I have to say that the burger is alright. It’s not bad but it definitely does not live up to American standards. The mezcal cocktail on the other hand was absolutely amazing. The touch of passion fruit makes it sweet and smoky. The vibe is quite nice too! The interiors are done really well and everything comes together to give off a fun and cozy atmosphere.

We came here for a roast and were pleasantly surprised. We had a big group of us which they accommodated on a pretty late notice. We had a roast which they had a mixture of chicken, lamb and beef. The lamb was extraordinary, the portion size was great with a wide range of vegetables and meat and the Yorkshire pudding was huge. I also recommend the sticky toffee pudding. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was impeccable. The only slight downside was the price but it was worth it as the meal was fantastic.

Had the beef roast dinner here. Everything was cooked great but I really didn’t feel like I got my moneys worth. For £16.90 you get 3 roast potatoes, a couple carrots, a single parsnip, a splash of greens, a few slices of beef and a large Yorkshire pudding all drowned in a lake of gravy.I was still hungry when I finished it and was left rather disappointed. The interior however was lovely, couldn’t fault it. It is a ideal pub to go to for drink and social.

I came here with my friends for the Sunday roast menu and it was good!It was a bit busy but for as busy as it was the staff were extremely friendly and attentive and regularly checked to see if we were okay. Their recommendations on food and drinks were spot on too.The pub itself is a little too dark and gloomy for my liking but I suppose that’s what makes it unique. We were sat up stairs and I do feel the tables are quite close together but it was bearable. The food was lovely I finished my plate and the drinks were very nice.I would definitely return but probably opt to be seated downstairs as the upstairs is just too gloomy for my liking. Overall - good

Angel who was amazing took our reservation over the phone for Sunday and even called us back to say there was a cancellation for an hour earlier if we preferred. Bar staff were amazing serving staff were amazing and couldn't do enough. Only moan was not enough potatoes and lighting a bit too dark for less than perfect eyes. The habanero sauce was HOT HOT HOT and I love spicy food. Food portions fabulous, lamb amazing 10/10 experience. Well done. We WILL return
