Well worth the climb, it’s a long way up though!

A steep Hill I had to run up not once but twice

Ridiculous and amazing.The walk up the hill is about 20 minutes. Make sure to get there early, as people crowd into the woodland and the hill cannot be seen clearly. Parking is available in the new estate at the bottom of the hill - residents did not seem too annoyed by the crowds.Be prepared to see some broken limbs..

Definitely something to put on the bucket list. It was very fun to watch despite seeing some injuries. The hill is so steep that it is difficult to stop yourself slipping as a spectator and the walk to the hill is quite difficult.

It's a pretty spectacular view from the top, although we were hoping for a view of rolling hills, which there are in the distance. The view in the foreground is the urban sprawl of Gloucester, which is not so good.From the top the idea of chasing after a cheese seems terrifying, the hill is very steep and it looks as if it ends in a wall and some houses. From the top it looks certain that both cheese and contestants would be splatted against the wall. From the bottom you can see that there is a flat (ish) runoff area, I have posted a picture. We must go one year and see the cheese rolling (but not taking part!).It's not so easy to access, but worth it. It forms part of a circular walk.
