Fiskerton Fen Nature Reserve

Nice spot. Hide is well made and a decent car park.Nobody has taken any of the sloes, so if you're a sloe gin fan get down and make your own!

Small nature reserve that is doing wonders at re-establishing and preserving wetland habitats. There's a hide for birdwatchers overlooking a small lake and a footpath link to the banks of the River Witham. Plenty of birds and insect species to see alongside a variety of fauna & flora. Peaceful once you've got away from the road.Be very careful going in and out of the small car park - the road is populated with an above average density of idiots that speed along the narrow road oblivious to everything outside their cockpit. Similarly, drive carefully along the narrow country road getting there; you're certain to encounter an obese prat wedged into a 4x4 doing 70 in the middle of the road - at least 2 in every half mile...Sad to see some halfwits have broken down the fence protecting the reedbeds etc on the lake shores and created a footpath through the protected area. Please have some respect and use the official path round the outside to access the river bank...

Great place to take a walk along the river. Also can watch birds on the lake from the hut. Free car park available (for cars only as there is a hight limit).

Very beautiful relaxing and quiet. No seagulls or rooks or anything. We didn't see any kingfishers but plenty of mayfly. Will return and keep you updated

Very pleasant spot. My fellas loves it for the birds. Nice little walk to the river with interesting information notices . Also a little banksy to spot.

Very small nature reserve but always something to see and a view of the river - spoilt on this occasion by selfish dog-walkers who hadn't cleaned up after their pets - perhaps it's time to ban dog walking on nature reserves and allow other visitors more chance to see undisturbed wildlife
