A Home After Halls - Student Accommodation Providers

Mouse infestation. Complained about mouse for the past year and have 0 improvements. The flat has had so many issues, awful wifi for a student accommodation despite complaints still has been the same throughout my stay. After asking for reduction of my rent they refused despite the fact I was living in a rodent filled flat, they only cared about money instead of the wellbeing of their tenants.The maintenance guy Bryce is the one person I found was helpful and understanding of my situation and always on hand! However the home after halls people themselves have always disregarded my feelings and made me feel like I was invalid for being upset about seeing multiple mouse that chewed through my carpets.For the price of the rooms I wouldn’t recommend choosing a homes after halls for your tenancy

Don’t go there. We lived in one of their apartments for a few months and had more issues and problems with this place than I had in my entire life.Objects missing, water leak above, mold, dirt, craftsmen are just coming inside without any informations. Beyond the AHAH team is really unprofessional and letting you wait for weeks with no responses.Can’t recommend this agency at all!

For the past 5 months I’ve rented a room in a freshly renovated house with 7 other students on North Road East 41. I fully trusted AHAH as it was recommended by one of our tutors and we signed contract from my home country without ever seeing the finished rooms as they were under construction. The contact with the office was always friendly, qualified and reliable. They provided us with pictures and the final house exceeded all my expectations. Adorably furnished and clean as we moved in and we were so lucky to have such a big kitchen and our shared living room as the heart of this house. Whenever something was wrong someone came by to fix it on the same day or the day after and took care of any problem occurring. I can 100% recommend AHAH and especially this house and location as it was practically on campus. Great experience and worth the rent compared to many other properties in the ocean city in miserable conditions for almost the same price.

I had a great experience with the homes after halls team. Anything that needed looking at or fixing in the house they were quick to get sorted so my stay was always pleasant. I faced some issues with a house mate during my stay but the homes after halls team were always available to help and support me.I would use homes after halls again, the property was lovely and offered plenty of space and the area was perfect.If you’re looking for a first property and have any anxieties about it, I would highly recommend Homes after halls. They by far have offered the best support out of all the student letting properties I have used.

Home after halls have been so amazing after taking over our tenancy. Never had so many handy men in to service and fix our house at once. I could not recommend this company enough, they have been extremely helpful and understanding of the issues we have had with our house. Dan the maintenance guy has been beyond helpful and super friendly. Would 100% recommend this company.

After living with multiple student letting agents, A Home After Halls is by far the best. From the day I enquired about viewing a property to today, when I handed my keys in, I’ve had a great experience. Super responsive with maintenance requests, enquiries and more, they’re a small team who are really trustworthy and helpful. I was so glad I picked them as my final year agency, especially after awful experiences with others. The maintenance team are really kind and get things done quickly, and the format in which you put in maintenance requests is easy to use and track. There is not a single flaw I could find with AHAH, and I hope I use them again for residential lettings. 10/10!

Have been a tenant with AHAH for the last 5 years - rarely had issues but when we did they were dealt with promptly. They’ve been pleasure to deal with and I’ve had a great experience with A Home After Halls. Highly recommend them as a letting agent!

AHAH manage my Plymouth Student Rooms extremely well. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere whilst being fast and efficient with finger on the pulse. Quick response to any maintenance issues . . . Professional admin team - all good.

Absolutely shocking place to live. Multitude of reasons for my one star rating.A pipe burst in the en-suite bathroom and it took them two hours to get someone just to come and stop the water. By that point my bedroom was soaking wet the carpet was like a swamp. It then took them three days to source someone with a wet vac to come and sort out the carpet. (Had to sleep on a mattress in the shared living room as a result of this)MOUSE infestation. We had a serious mouse infestation and the landlords would do nothing about it they would say they’d put poison down but never did. Me and the other tenants tried to combat this with traps and other things but no Matter how many times we caught mice nothing worked.Staff were unprofessional and didn’t even know what was going on in there own office half the time. Disgraceful service and a hard avoidDon’t stay with ahah if you are a student there is only one thing they care about and that’s getting your money.

Just finished Uni this year and graduated with a 2:1 =) And at my time in Plymouth (5 years) I've gone with a few different letting agents. But let me say in no uncertain terms, this is the BEST lettings agents I've ever worked with.Any issues with the house were sorted out within 1 -3 days at the maximum. The staff there are super friendly and understanding, but most importantly they're fair.While other lettings agents I've been with tell you that they will give you notice for house viewings a lot of the time they don't. They tell you that the maintenance guy will be there within a week, and you have to call them a million times before he comes round the next week. With a home after halls everything is done as it is advertised (don't take that for granted!). If they tell you the maintenance man will be there tomorrow, he actually WILL be there the next day. I remember our internet went down during exam time and they managed to get someone round and fix it the same day!The last thing to mention is the fact their fees are so low. Other letting agents charge you for a deposit guarantee scheme, referencing, checking in and out fees, administrative fees.etc A home after halls charged me one administrative fee and I was done! Signed the contract and moved in, no hassle.Can't give these guys enough praise, they made Uni so much more enjoyable. I'd recommend them to anyone that would listen =)
