Able-Aid

I asked them to change a tyre on a scooter. I supplied the tyre and the inner tube and Halfords quoted £20 previous.When they charged me £65 for an hour and a half labour I felt sick.I explained that I had borrowed the scooter for my children to use on private land and they got a puncture that I needed repairing before I gave it back to the owner but the owner of able aid wasn't sympathetic at all all apart from knocking off £5 buyers beware of extremely high charges.I can only imagine how much disabled people are getting charged and the elderly by this outrageous companyAlso, I asked the owner to call me to give me a price for the work and he didn't. If he would have quoted me 3 times the price of Halfords I wouldn't have taken it there as I am on low income with a family.

Visited this store on Monday to hire a wheelchair and was not disappointed! Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff member. Gent really knew his stuff and I left with my wheelchair within 5 minutes. Excellent service and highly recommended.

When an elderly relative becomes disabled it can be a very confusing and anxious time for both the patient and the family/carers. The gentleman in Able-Aid could not have been more understanding, professional and generous with his time when we popped in to ask about a wheelchair. Within 24 hours he had visited the patient at the Care Home, assessed his needs and made recommendations to us about the best way forward - literally! Hopefully by next weekend my Dad will have his new wheelchair and he can look forward to some comfortable trips out with the family. Thank-you very much!

Great service and assistance with my Grandad’s stair lift. We had an original repair place telling us it was the batteries then the pcb board and then told us after paying a call out fee and for the batteries that it was the pcb and wanted £450 and another call out fee! Luckily I found Able-Aid who came out and sorted it and it was not the pcb! Always do your research guys! Able-aid come highly recommended from me. Thank you

Charged over £1000 for a second hand stair lift to be fitted. My father passed away, they charged £80 to come and remove the stairlift but it will be resold. Exploitative.

I asked Able Aid to come urgently to fix a electric bed and they came and sorted the problem this morning. Job done, thank you so much we appreciate your speed in fixing our problem. I would definitely recommend this company.

Delivered a mobility aid unfit for purpose and then charged for taking it away. Avoid.

I'm physically disabled, and Able-Aid is great, it has most items I need and it's easy to park near. It's great to place my order online or pop into the shop etc. I highly recommend this store!

Rang and spoke to Dave, ordered and paid for a easy sock tool for my father, and it was delivered within 5 minutes! I didn't even have time to ring my sister to tell her it was on the way, really ace service.Highly recommended on the service I have received.
