Bitton Picnic Area
Nice picnic sight next to the River Avon. There is a mooring and pontoon there. Probably the easiest access is from the Sustrans Bristol - Bath Cycle Track. There are a few picnic tables as well.The only downside is that some idiots have decided it is a good place to dump a couple of bin liners of rubbish.

This is not accessible by car - only on foot / bike from the Bath - Bristol walkway, or by boat!We were lucky to get a mooring here for an overnight stop. There's only room for about two boats and we saw many approach hopefully only to be disappointed.It's a clean peaceful place and a great spot for a picnic. It's very quiet apart from the cyclists shouted conversations as they cross the bridge first thing in the morning. Nice views over the river.

Beautiful place to have a picnic by the lake.Unfortunately it’s not great to swim as Thames Water frequently pumps raw sewage into the river.

Lovely stop off bristol to bath railway track by the river. Thanks to Saltford wombles for providing rubbish bags but we did bring our recycling home!

Popular place by the river and convenient to railway path unfortunately some users of the area seem to think that users of the riverside path are secondary to them and feel it is ok to block the pathway. This is a wonderful shared space in a beautiful location.

Good bit of grass to lay down about in and have a picnic by the water. Some tables there too
